NEW CLOCK TOWER, OLD MOSQUE

Close to the Iljaz bej Mirahori Mosque is this tall structure. It did not survive the 1960 earthquake. Today's reconstructed clock tower contrasts with the mosque, the oldest building in Korca. You will inevitably pass by it when touring the Old Bazaar.

Attractive reconstructed clock tower adjacent to the Iljaz bej Mirahori mosque. Worth a look as you wander by. Not open for access when we were there.

Another magnificent architectural gem in Korce

Next to the mosque and nicely preserved, it is another gem in the city's endless architectural buildings.
