This hike is about 5 miles round trip, but is pretty suitable for about anybody. Nothing too challenging. And it is so very worth the view!

The location to hike is easily identified from the highway unlike some other great trails in the area. My sister and I, both in our 60s, hiked this easily, but were glad we had hiking sticks for balance since after or during a rain, it...More

I have been to many places in my life and very few compare to this. There is a quietness to Hawksbill Crag. Even with the flow of people into and out of the point, there is ample space to just be present. When you go...More

We went on a Saturday at the peak of fall color, so there were a lot of people, but it was still a great hike. So many different trees, views, rock formations and waterfalls. A little of everything. It is 1 1/2 miles one way...More

Although it was a little crowded when we went, the people were friendly and the views did not disappoint. I’d choose big bluff and the goat trail over this IF I had to choose but we did both. This is a more family friendly trail...More

This is one of the most beautiful views in the Ozarks. The cliff that looks like a “hawksbill” hangs out over a huge valley of rolling hills. The hike is about 3.5 miles. It’s an in and out trail, not a loop. The walk is...More

Hiking in took us 30 minutes, at a fairly good pace. Hiking out was a little tougher, mostly uphill. I wore my regular athletic shoes and I was fine. We enjoyed it very much.

Heard lots of great things about this hike so we just had to check it out. Not a long one, about 1.8 miles to the crag (out and back = 3.6 miles). Not too much climbing; it’s mostly a straight walk with most of the...More

We took our teenage kids and our 7 year old for a day trip, hiking, site seeing outing. We drove and drove, down dirt roads with little to no cell phone service, thinking we were surely not going the correct way. All of a sudden...More

The hike out to the point was really pretty. Lots of cedar trees, lizards, and poison ivy. My husband and I brought back that souvenir 😬

It is a dirt road but I think it’s fine for your truck! I have a Nissan Armada and we drove it up there. Have fun! It’s a beautiful hike!
