My daughter and her husband came from Canada for a visit, so we went exploring. Artists Point is amazing. They have a small museum and a view that is truly breath taking. They have about 10 or 15 hummingbird feeders hung outside huge windows and they are always busy. You can buy a feeder and take it home. I have... More

Definitely worth pulling in for stunning views and a great photo opportunity. The shop is worth a visit although there is a lot of touristy junk. The little museum at the back however houses many interesting artifacts. Good place to stretch your legs and view the scenery.

Arrived a little past 5 thinking they were open until 6. They had closed at 5. Fantastic view. Love the area. The kids Loved it too. Worth the extra time getting off of the interstate.

They close at EXACT closing time, but otherwise really nice people. Views from inside and outside are great.

Not a lot to "do" here, but beautiful views. Don't skip it, just be aware it will not take you long. There is a hiking trail , which we did not use.

Traveling back to Dallas from U or Arkansas, we chose the scenic route along U.S. 71. Glad we did! Artist Point is a great little country store & quaint museum with some local history. We had 3 teen girls with us, so chose to make the hike down to the falls. Down is relatively easy, though steep in places. Big... More

We went to this spot, which is not well known, based on reviews on TripAdvisor. I really liked it and the views are spectacular. I would highly recommend early morning. Dawn if you can as the valley faces east. It had been raining quite a bit before we got there and we were warned that the trail down to the... More

I took the scenic route (well, one of the many!) home from Fayetteville and stopped at this viewpoint and shop off of US 71. The view was absolutely lovely. A great spot for photos and very quiet and peaceful. There were some spots along the drive that I thought would probably have been even more beautiful, but they were obscured... More

I was driving from Fayetteville to Fort Smith and had to stop here when I saw the view. Great view of the mountains and lake far below. It must be incredible in the fall. Because it was early morning I was the only one in the little shop checking out the homemade jellies and things for sale. It just happened... More

I love rustic artist point, the loud mouth bird, the breathtaking view, the local folk art, homemade jams and preserves. The old Indian Museum is kinda interesting. Arkansas diamonds are priced right. The owner is down to earth and very hospitable. Artist Point and Sky Vue Lodge, near Mountainburg, Chester, Mount Gaylor, Winslow...Absolutely, gorgeous views, especially in the fall. So... More
