Plan to visit on a Friday night when the local pickers meet for a jam session. You can go from one pavilion to the next and listen to different groups. There are benches around the pavilions, but take the precaution of bringing your own lawn chair.

Love the small town feel of Mt. View. Make sure to bring your lawn chairs otherwise you might find yourself standing. The pickers are more active on weekends in the warmer months. Great place to bring your family or as a couple.

Great little area for the family. Live music on the weekends! Local musicians will come out and pick the guitar and play old favorites!

Be sure to take your lawn chairs and grab some ice cream at the local ice cream trailer and settle in for an evening of music. Washington Street Park fills with very talented musicians during the evening hours. Move from group to group to hear wonderful bluegrass music. Everyone is friendly and the musicians welcome those with instruments to join in. This public park has public restrooms that are spotless and have no graffiti. Talk about a town that takes pride in their park. The grounds are well-kept. We have sat and listened to music until 10pm or until midnight and have felt safe. Many musicians of all ages share their love of music with the visitors to the park. No money is exchanged. No scripted performance is given. It's simply people making music because it is their passion. It is an amazing thing to see.

You've got to see this to believe it. If you're a music lover, you will get exactly what you need by visiting Mountain Home. Its gotta be on a Saturday afternoon or evening. Make sure you bring your guitar, fiddle, banjo, dobro or bass or just yourself and enjoy!

I can't say enough good things about this place. My mom and I enjoyed our day at the park tremendously. the musicians are so talented. It was a great day. For anyone who enjoys hillbilly/bluegrass music, this is the place for you. There are benches available, but we took our own chairs and moved from place to place throughout the day. There are public restrooms close by. It is very close to restaurants and shops. Looking forward to our next trip there.

The walking trail was great and there was a nice and clean bathroom next to it. Great picnic area for the whole family and a place to play ball also.

On a Spring weekend night, there were probaly about ten locals playing here, several of which were children ranging in age from about 13-18, all of whom were accompanied by parents. It's a great group of locals that come together, totally free of charge, and share their talent with anyone who wishes to listen. When planning a trip to Mountain View, be sure to pack foldable chairs. Well lighted. Police officers patrolling. No litter. No alcohol.
