We hiked the Cedar Falls Trail in December. I would suggest wearing layered clothing and taking water with you. The scenery is gorgeous! The trail is not difficult, however it’s more strenuous hiking up the trail on the return trip. We got some beautiful photos...More

Beautiful hike on a chilly November day. The cold weather kept everyone else indoors so we enjoyed then trail to ourselves. Careful the rocks are slippery when wet.

This is what Petit Jean is all about! If you are unable to do this hike, then view Cedar Falls from the overlook boardwalk and platform. Just don't miss it!

Very fun, beautiful hike. The steep steps at the beginning and end are a little tough, but it was so worth it!

The trail was strenuous, but worth it. Wear sturdy shoes and carry water with you. The trail is very clean and easy to follow.

This was hands down the best hike I have ever gone on. This is a moderate hike, but it is an absolutely incredible one that pays off big time at the end! The walk along side the creek is beautiful. If you can, push yourself...More

My friends and I hike this, usually in the winter months. It’s really pretty and a fairly simple “hike” - more of a walk. But it’s pretty and I always like seeing the waterfall

The hike was challenging but not impossible. We all loved it. The scenery is beautiful and is even better in late October. There are also other trails to check out. We hiked on a cool cloudy day. That made it much easier.

Great short hike to the Falls, we did this with our 7 year old and was his favorite hike of the trip. You can walk behind the falls if you want. Get there early at the weekend before it gets too busy. Coming back up...More

Mini Trip Report on Hocking Hills (3 Replies)
Back in the fall of 2011, the Mr. and I decided to meet up with some folks from Trip Advisor in the little town of Kanab, Utah. From that meet up, we brought home many memories and friendships. One of those friendships was South Jersey Girl and her Mr. Fast forward thru a mini meet up in West Virginia and then a long and adventurous road trip to… our mini meet up this month. After sending photos of our visit to Old Mans Cave in the ice and snow this past February to SJG, we decided to have...More

glad you enjoyed the read TE :) I will do that! follow the link and suggest signage. I also found it annoying that we had to pay $2 for a little brochure on the parks with maps. We did print off that info from online, but.... just no detail to them or the brochure, really. The signage was the real frustration. Anyways-- I'll link it later. :)
