This is one of the best state parks I have ever stayed at. There are some campsites with full hookups, and some with just water and electricity. There are some on the water front, and some nestled back in the woods. There are challenging hiking trails, and easy ones to interesting sights. There is a lodge if you don't want... More

There is something for everyone at Petit Jean State Park. There is a wonderful lodge with a quaint and nostalgic restaurant, cabins, visitor center and gift shop, a neat trail leading down to an even neater waterfall, a lake, an automobile museum with a lot of classy vehicles, and neat overlooks, one toward the east end of the park which... This is a beautiful park with many pluses. While we did not take advantage of the camping, we did hike one of the trails and enjoyed driving around the park and checking out the lookouts. Nice views - and was not crowded at all while we were there. Friendly visitor center staff. Everything seemed clean and cared for.

As does Highway 154, so there is always traffic, not always abiding the posted speed limit. Lots of hiking trails and pool for the kids.

Thank you for your review. We have Park Rangers who patrol the speed limit along Hwy 154 and other road in the Park. Petit Jean offers a peaceful CCC bike/hike trail that is a shaded trail that connects Mather Lodge to the park campgrounds. The winding trail offers access to the Cedar Falls Overlook, the Cedar Creek trailhead at the... More

This is an outdoor lover's dream. There is plenty of hiking, scenic overlooks, and even a waterfall. We love dining at the Mathers Lodge. The museum of automobiles is great too.

We spent several hours exploring this park due to time constraints but I would have liked more time. This is a great park and I would have loved to spend some time hiking. etc. We took the boardwalk to the Cedar Falls Overlook - an easy walk back to a gorgeous view of the falls. We also had a picnic... More

My husband and I visited Petit Jean State Park recently for our anniversary and it was a special treat. I loved the architecture. It's also pet friendly so we brought our little dog who is really our four legged child! Bucky had as much fun as we did, I think. Our hike to the falls was amazing and not as... More

We loved Petit Jean State Park. Our duplex cabin was clean and cozy. The hiking was amazing! We did a 7 mile hike and plan to come back for more hiking on the trails we didn't get to go on due to rain and time. Our favorite trails were the Cedar Falls trail and the Bear Cave trail!
