We were all over the state taking in the beautiful scenery that abounds in Arkansas. Petit Jean State Park was just one of many great locations for vacation. It's a little bit of a drive to get there from the smallest and closed town. Make sure your packing everything you need because the nearest Walmart is still a pretty good... More

This is a fabulous park! We camped the first 2 nights and the campground and bath house were clean and spacious. The first day we hiked the 7 Hollows trail and saw the Natural Bridge and the Grotto. Our friends have 8 year old girls and we all enjoyed the adventures. We also did the Bear Cave hike. The geological... More

Such a beautiful place! When they say the trails are strenuous and rugged, they aren't kidding. My parents, who are in their 80's, and I tried the Cedar Falls Trail and it was a little too much for them so we turned around halfway. I would love to go back with my husband and hike it, however, as it was... More

Went up for the day. The weather is exceptionally warm for Arkansas for October at 81. We managed to catch a few breezes along a segment of The Seven Hollows Trail.

Came across this park by accident back in 2012 and have been back every year since. If you are lucky enough to catch Cedar Falls when the water is running well, you will be hypnotized by its beauty. Plenty of trails to walk and ample photo opps too. If the fog is coming in, go to the hill top grave... More

This is truly an OMG state park! Every positive adjective you can think of to describe nature! The views are just absolutely stunning and breathtaking! We've been from NJ to California and are heading back. We have seen so many awesome parks and sights and Petit Jean State Park takes a back seat to none of them. Different than Yosemite,... More

Petit Jean State Park is located on a beautiful mountaintop in Central Arkansas. The facilities are on a forested plateau above a forested creek bottom. There are many hiking trails of varying length and difficulty. All of the trails are well-maintained, although some are more developed than others. The more popular trails have stone stairs on the slopes to make... More
