30 minute TOTAL buggy ride time….. To start things off, we were instructed to place EVERYTHING in a $6 locker, including your cell phone or anything you may have to be able to take a photo because they want to sell you the photos they take. They seriously stopped my husband and me in the first 5 minutes of the ride and told us to give them our phones (like a little child). They had us sign a release in case of injury, which was fine and I total expected. If having a cell phone is a safety hazard, I would’ve been happy to include that in the release statement. Be sure to coat yourself in bug spray as the mosquitos are worse than horrible. Lunch was mediocre at best. Oh…. If the fact that they charge you for ANY drink option (even water.. $2) with your lunch, doesn’t tell you a little something about this operation, well…. go try it for yourself! I was appalled at the entire operation to be honest. If they put as much effort into the ride itself as they do trying to sell you their goods, it may be with worth the $200 we paid for this excursion. I truly don’t know how they are still in business. The one thing we did enjoy was the beautiful waterfall at the pool that we had 1.5 hours left from our “buggy excursion” to spend enjoying. We thought we paid for a dune buggy excursion, not a swim at a pool with a waterfall. Do your homework, ride dune buggies elsewhere! There are plenty of other operations to choose from! We sure regret choosing this one!
When we were escorted back to our locker to put our phones away, it ended up being the best part because on the way back, we got to get up a little speed in the buggy. We caught up with our group and didn’t skip a beat with the total 30 min ride time… still amazes me that a 4 hour excursion gives you 30 min in the buggy!
