I wanted my son to complete his PADI open water course in warm water. Fortunately, I was able to make arrangements
with Carlos via Whatsapp prior to our trip. When we arrived at the shop, Carlos met us to introduce himself and the team. We promptly completed the paperwork and arranged the course diving with Mario as the instructor, as well as the rest of the week. All went smoothly and perfectly, what a great team they have at Dolin!! We felt like they went above and beyond to make this experience special for us. The gear was in good working order and we never felt rushed. I would absolutely recommend Dolin to anyone looking for a professional shop!! Oh, and if you’re unsure about paying extra for the day trip to Isla Catalina, don’t hesitate, it’s absolutely worthwhile!!

We used them for two excursions, a boat ride with a stop for snorkeling and a natural pool. It was nice, music a bit too loud, but overall it was good.
The other excursion was to Catalina Island, including snorkeling and scuba dive. I strongly recommend that excursion, specially if you have a mix of snorkelers and divers; the place is amazing and everyone can enjoy.

Great dive center. Juan was an amazing diver. He caught an octopus right in front of us and held onto it for a good minute. It was an amazing experience. Gerald did a great job helping me get my open water advanced certificate. I would recommend using this dive center again

Juan Carlos is great, the dives are fun and he’s good at pointing out animals, the equipment is safe. Our problem is that we were never picked up for our $350 trip to Catalina island and they said they would refund it and never did. The driver went to the wrong hotel, which they acknowledged was their fault, and they said they would issue a refund to our credit card. Please issue the refund as promised!
Also, on the dives we did do we had to wait for 3 hours while the other divers literally finished their dive course. We were chill about it and hung out at the pool while they finished learning to dive, but it wasn’t really a good use of our time as certified divers. That was a lame use of half our vacation day.
Please issue the $350 refund as promised!!

Normally we hire external bus companies when we have many clients and sometimes they get confused about the pick-up place.
That company is no longer providing services to our company.

I do not recommend. We were fishing from the Dolin diving Center yesterday.
Our feelings are terrible, first of all, it was not Fishing, but 4 hours of sailing in the ocean in the stench of diesel engines, and moreover, no one even gave us a Rod.
There are no rules of safety in boat.
We did not get life jackets to put on after boarding the old boat because it cannot be called a safe boat.
Nobody paid any attention to the fact that one of the passengers felt really bad during the whole trip.
The fishing rods were attached to the boat and only twice during the whole trip the lures were changed, after the end of the trip the bucket of bait was poured into the ocean.
Complete failure and a trick. for the trip we paid in dollars the bill was written in Dominican pesos for a completely different amount.
The black smoke following the boat made it impossible to breathe normally and caused a headache.
to sum up: the old boat, the fumes from the engine disrupted the whole cruise, we did not get a fishing rod in our hand. To our question: "will we stop and fish"? - the answer was: "no, we sail for 2 hours one way and return". The 3-person crew was completely uninterested in this deck, they were sitting at the top of their boat all the time.

Regarding the payment,it's correct. Our verifon get option to charge in the national bills ,but we have to make the convertion in the rate of the day . Our money is pesos ,for reason they tell the price in Dollars ,and converse in pesos,even in Euro , pounds ,canadian dollars etc. One more time ,we apologize for those inconveniences and misunderstandings.

Went on the glass bottom boat tour as a family of 4. Absolute joke. No life jackets given to the two kids to start with. Was taken to a random spot and told to jump off the boat to go snorkelling. Being over 5 meters deep and with no kind of boyancy no way would I let my 9 year old go in.
Then was taken further round to a place where all the other boats were, to jump into shallow ish water where you can buy pineapples or coconuts. Was told it would be crystal clear waters… you couldn’t see in the water and my 9 year old could barely touch the bottom. To top it off we were followed the whole time by a photographer taking photos of the awful time. On the way back we’re told the photos were $100 were we paying by cash or card? Did t want the photos but once we reached the shore the receptionist said we had to buy the photos and then demanded cash. Was followed to the room demanding cash.
Photos arrived of a random couple, meaning photos of our young children were also sent to random people. Absolute awful experience and will be warning all hotel stayers to avoid.

We booked the tour from a guy on the beach. I had asked our butler if it was legitimate and he said yes. So we felt good. 4 hour tour for $420, reasonable (10% charge for using Apple Pay). We get to the place on the beach but then they have to shuttle you by tiny speed boat to the bigger boat. That little ride was an experience in itself. He went way too fast given the size of the waves; my neck still hurts today. We get to the place where the bigger boat is and we’re immediately swarmed by high pressure shop owners, not what we expected. We got on the bigger boat and it was very old and run down. Outside, there were no chairs and no awning for shade. The sea was very rough so standing was extremely difficult. The sound of the engine was loud, very difficult to have a conversation with my wife. The worst part with the engine were the fumes of diesel. It was bad. Needless to say with all this going on, I got seasick. They had an inside cabin that was pretty nasty. It did give us a place to sit and get out of the sun but the fumes were bad and I was worried about CO.
Lastly, the fishing wasn’t what we expected either. I was sold on going out, stopping and throw a line in. Instead it was just trolling. So we stood there watching a line for a few hours. We eventually told them to just take us back and cut the trip short. We were not having fun at all.
Then we land and the real high pressure shop owners swooped in. Nearly made my wife cry and have a panic attack.

My husband and I were really looking forward to the half day catamaran ‘party boat’ as we have done many of those experiences before and always had so much fun. This was worst experience ever. I don’t know if the guide was new or what but he was not engaging or fun at all. First we boarded the boat and then waited 45 minutes for a second group to arrive. They couldn’t get the anchor up, but things happen, but he didn’t explain what was happening. Tour finally starts and he was so busy trying to take everyone’s pictures that there was no engagement, conversation etc. I get that pictures is part of the revenue but it should be done in addition to the experience not the only thing happening. No fins for snorkel which I didn’t like, but that’s ok. They couldn’t get the anchor up again and it looked like the guide and skipper were arguing over who was diving in to get the anchor. At the natural pool, again ‘guide’ just taking pictures, if we wanted a drink swim back to the boat and serve yourself, all other tours bring the bar to you in the water. We leave there to return and the second group that had got on just jumped on the guides phone to the speaker and kept changing the music, basically having their own private party, half the boat was very put off. We return and the second group was loud, and out of control, they got the first boat back to the beach even though we had waited originally for them almost an hour. I have been on dozens of tours, worst one ever. Not fun, guide not engaging nor high energy. Won’t use this tour group again.

Hello Dawn, Thank you for expressing yourself on how you felt, we provide a secured excursion for all our clients, at the coral reef we don't offer fins because of the coral care and prevention of lost, we understand you don't like pictures as you said this is an addition to the experience, we will take hand on that. We don't do bars at the pool to prevent a bad end of the excursion we understand is fun while you are there but once you arrive to our platform we assure you wouldn't feel the same way, as a company we need to prevent and not let things happen, remember you need it to take a 30 minute shuttle. we are sorry you didn't have a nice time with us, by the moment you end it the excursion we would have done something to make you feel better, thank you

We hired 2 speedboats for 2 hours. Oliver was our captain & guided us to various areas, he really looked after us.
It was choppy but thrilling. I recommend this for older children along with adults as we did get thrown around quite a lot in the waves etc, but it was memorable & a lot of fun.

My wife and I went to Dolin Dive Center to complete our PADI open water diver certification. Our experience was absolutely fantastic! Our dive master Juan Carlos was incredible. He was professional, knowledgeable and attentive. His primary focus was on our safety while making our dives fun and exciting. His passion for diving was contagious and his joy for teaching was apparent from the moment we met him. Always smiling, laughing and enjoying himself. It was very apparent that he loves his profession very much and has a special talent for passing that enthusiasm on to his students. My wife and I feel very fortunate that he was our instructor. Our boat captain Avolisto was also fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the area and the conditions and also very helpful in getting us in and out of the boat safely. Carmen at reception was also friendly and always asking if she could do anything for us while we waited for the boat, transportation, etc.
I can't imagine a better place for us to have completed our dives for PADI certification!
Thank you Carmen, Avolisto(Capitan)and all the rest at Dolin Dive Center. And a special thank you to Juan Carlos for passing on your passion for diving! You are the best!
