Children, wife, and mother-in-law enjoyed it here. Would have been fun for me as well if I didn't have to have my Golden Retriever on a leash. It really is a shame that we can't let our dogs enjoy the beach and water without having...More

Like many lighthouses, it is located in a picturesque setting. The size and shape make this a typical lighthouse. What sets it apart is a very nice picnic area. Unfortunately, the light was not open when we were there in May.

A must see when you visit Panmure Island is the beautiful lighthouse on the point. A great spot to take some fantastic photos from the grounds, and climb to the top of the lighthouse for even better views. The gift shop in the lighthouse has...More

This inauspicious provincial park just might have the best beach in all of Prince Edward Island. It is not as crowded as some others, and yet has basically the same amenities as PEI's bigger beaches with the more famous names. Those looking for the locals'...More

It was a surprisingly hot day today (Oct 8, 2016) so a relaxing trip to the beach (not too crowded) and the lighthouse was in order. The beach, during the summer season has bathroom facilities and a little ice cream shack. It's incredibly picturesque. The...More

Lovely lighthouse on Panmure Island. Staff are very welcoming. It is a beautiful sight and sits beside the Northumberland Strait. Picnic tables and port a potty and snacks for sale in the lighthouse.

This is one of our favourite parks in PEI. Quite often the beach, as it was on our last visit, is uncrowded. It's a beautiful long stretch of walkable beach. In summer there are lifeguards. The water is cold, but for the simple pleasure of...More

It was nice to see another lighthouse on the island. We just missed the time to tour it. We had great pictures though of the outside.

Hi There! Not sure what time they open but they close it at 6pm. If I recall correctly, the tour of lighthouse was by donation only, but other similar places ask for anything between $4-7 per person. Did not swim there, so... More
