Like many lighthouses, it is located in a picturesque setting. The size and shape make this a typical lighthouse. What sets it apart is a very nice picnic area. Unfortunately, the light was not open when we were there in May.

Lovely lighthouse on Panmure Island. Staff are very welcoming. It is a beautiful sight and sits beside the Northumberland Strait. Picnic tables and port a potty and snacks for sale in the lighthouse.
