Right next to Sosua Beach, Alicia beach is in sharp contrast. Rent an umbrella and beach chair for 500 pesos for the day. If you enjoy loud music, hawkers, and restaurants and bars, don’t come to Alicia beach.
It is quiet and a flatter walk to the water unlike Sosua Beach. It’s not easy to get food and drinks, but I did see some waiters going up and down the steps to the restaurant/bar.
The only complaint I had is that there are no bathroom facilities.

the beach is like the red light district of Amsterdamn. old men with young girls, and not for free. Lots of drugs, and dogs. Beach is rather dirty as well. Not anything like Cabarete. too many enabling human bondage.. This is not a place to take your children. No I would not recommend it. We won't be back.

without hasslers it is a safe and calm place to relax. it is close to Casa Marina (well, hotel blocked beach access - using covid as an excuse - so you need to go out on the street to access Playa alicia)

This beach is my favorite for those sunny days where you only want to enjoy the hot sand and the blue ocean.

On calm weather the bay is perfect to swim and has beautiful fresh water! It’s really lovely

Such a beautiful view from above. My fiancé and I drove from Puerto plata to Sosua to soak up the sun on this beach. Need to get there early because places to sit under spots away from the sun are limited. Great little restaurant located above

Amazing how a mountain separates this beach from Sosua Beach. This beach has little to no action. Very quiet when I visited.

This is a fantastic little beach. The water is great for swimming. It has no shade trees though. They offer a chair and an umbrella for a few hundred pesos each, but this can get costly for a family

Have been to this beach a few times, and love the location. It is a tiny beach, which apparently showed up after a storm one day, and has remained ever since. It can be a bit wavy, with an undertow at times, so choose carefully about where and when you swim. There are a couple of nice restaurants upstairs, where you can have a quick meal or a relaxing dinner. They will also bring drinks down to the beach for you. They rent chairs and umbrellas as well. My only negative other than the possible undertow, is that the sand can be quite dirty with cigarette butts, broken glass and even a dirty diaper. It is a shame, as they have garbage cans everywhere, as well as signs asking people to clean up after themselves, but it continues to be a problem. Perhaps the chair vendors and restaurants should charge a little more, and clean the beach at the end of each day...? It seems that the people using the beach just aren’t taking responsibility for their own garbage (they should be ashamed of themselves!).

Great beach that is very quiet. If staying at the Casa Marina hotel, you can access it from there and take your drinks. Guys will charge you 150 pesos for an umbrella which is cheap and they will even bring drinks to you.
