The beautiful Playa Alicia!
Swimming or just relaxing and reading a book, this is the best beach. Bring a cooler and snacks, a few peso’s will get you a chair and umbrella, and sit back and relax.
If you prefer the best beach location for a beautiful sunset, this is the beach!
Multi-lingual friendly beach within walking distance to everything.

What a nice beach. We paid $20 for 5 chairs & 2 umbrellas. But if you lunch at the restaurant, they are free. Water clear & good temp. The water is deep but totally enjoyable. Our favorite beach so far.

Head to the local beach for a relaxing day in the sun or shady relax under the welcoming shady trees. Enjoy a variety of delicious food from beachside vendor. European, North American and Dominican selection available. And of course frosty cervasa's and tasty rum!

Playa Alicia is just stunning! The beach is clean, offers good amenities including chair/umbrella rental and a restaurant for food if you like. Playa Alicia was practically empty the whole week we were in DR. By far our favorite beach.

We loved Playa Alicia with its clear, calm waters. The service provided by the Waterfront Restaurant was wonderful as well.
If you go, make sure you wear shoes to cross the sand because it is scalding hot, especially during midday.

Our initial impression of this beach was of a calm quiet beach with a european feel.
You’ll quickly learn Playa Alicia is a great place to start or end the day! It’s best kept secrete is it offers many activities! From playing in the waves to beach volleyball and if you’re brave enough cliff jumping!

While at the beach you’ll run into a few locals, ex-pats, frequent flyers and all-inclusiver’s who have stumble off the resort from Casa Marina to visit this great place.

This beach has an upscale European flare to it. I caution if you are not comfortable with ‘drop offs’, deep water or waves, then this beach may not be for you. The size of waves varies on the day, so don’t let fear of surf scare you off, it could be calm.
What I liked about this beach was we had the option to rent an umbrella or chairs or both, so we decided to rent only the umbrella. If you’re feeling penny pinched the beach does have some areas of natural shade, however it’s mostly further from the water, so you will not be able to keep a close eye on your belongings while you swim, easy solution is to just pack light. Personally, we ended up snuggling down at the far end by the cliffs on the left as they offered natural shade not far from the water. This area was also pretty peaceful taking us away from the crowd.

Bottom Line : No matter where you choose to start your day, the best place to end it is on Playa Alicia watching the sunset.

Lovely beach and the two restaurants located there serve very good food. The beach is very clean and not crowded the times in which I had visited. The is a parking lot with plenty of parking.

This place probably is the best beach in the area. Even that the access to the beach is not free but it is very secluded. The sand is clean and the access to the water is very safe without any stones.
