Since we are not kite surfers we went to Big Air only for the Beach BBQ on Wednesday nights. Great food and price was right! Great spot to have a drink and watch the surfers as well. Fantastic Cabarete breezes are free!

Joerg and the Big Air guys make learning to kite surf fun, challenging and really enjoyable. All aspects of safety, kite set up and all of the basics skills are covered thoroughly with great feedback given on the beach and in the water. I can't recommend these guys highly enough and I will be back there to continue my kite surf skills development the moment I am back in Cabarete!

The owner was kind enough to find me a french speaking instructor, even if she was from another kite school. That's surely the best he did for me. I spent the first hour with a guy with a broken arm. To teach, you can imagine it's not very helpful. He was kind. When the other came, it got much active and a started to learn. They gave us a sail wich was unflatting every second... We change the sail and things got fine. After the lesson, they talked to me about money. Nothing about how it was, did I enjoy, etc. I came the second day. No problem with the equipment. Same nice french speaking from another school. Great time in the water. Came back to the school. Again, nothing about how it was. Money again. They told me I would have half hour lesson the next day. Paid 270 US$ for three sets of two hours. They showed me it was different when you're alone. I argued because they never told me before and it's written in smaller and pale letters on the bottom of the paper. I think they trap a lot of people that way, better be aware... To resume, they have no consideration for us, I had bad equipment at the beginning and money gets over good relations. The instructor I got from the other school was very professionnal, got me secure about the kite, we had a lot of fun. I will sure keep on with the kite in St-Marteen very soon, but won't recommend Big Air to friends going to Cabarete. The owner seems to be a good guy, I think he could have done better that time.

Very good kite school, the teacher Jorge was very patient and thorough. He explained things in an easy manner and put a lot of time in to learn you about safety. The other employees was very friendly and helpful and gave an overall very positive experience. They also have great beach parties that was a lot of fun with good food and great people. I can recommend them and are going back on my next visit!
