Had an amazing time learning kiteboarding with Stefan and Kitexcite!! Stefan will get you to where you want to be. He is very detailed, very thorough, and always looking out for you and your progress. His experience and local knowledge is of great value. The radio communications is extremely helpful in getting immediate feedback and progressing quickly. I highly recommend learning with Stefan and Kitexcite and I can't wait to return for more heavenly kiting at Kite Beach Cabarete!!

Just got home from an amazing week of kite boarding with the guys at Kitexcite in Cabarete Kitebeach. I was a beginner, never touched a kite before, but now 4 days later I was doing some basic jumps and having the time of my life. I can't wait to come back to kite beach and tear it up some more!! They use amazing methods to teach you, and it's the best money I've spent on a vacation in a long time.

Kitexcite is by far one of the best kitesurfing schools on kitebeach from my experience. Flaco is always there to lend a helping hand for all customers. Kitexcite is also very good at taking awsome high quality pictures and HD videos of customers while they are riding, thanks to Stefan. I can't wait to go back because of the Kitexcite staff.

Stefan (the owner) is incredibly nice and organized. He's made the entire process enjoyable.
Ramon (my instructor) is very thorough, encouraging, and fun to be around. The first lesson covered the theory and is done online at home before!
The second lesson at Kitebeach Cabarete covered the basics - gear, flying the kite, safety. The third lesson we actually got on the water for the Buddy-Drag.
And the next Day I was able to get up on the board. With Ramon giving instructions and feedback through the Radio in my helmet and Stefan filming me getting upon the Board. It was great. http://www.facebook.com/kitebeach

I have been in Cabarete the first 2 weeks of April 2013 and I took the full package at Kitexcite kite surf school. Stephan, the owner of the school, is very experienced and he was able to make me feel at my ease from the very beginning on (I was an absolute kite surf beginner..). He and his staff are really friendly and did a great job. The equipment is state of the art and they have even an ultralight kite, which allows you to surf also with very poor wind conditions. His teaching methods are really effective - especially because he uses modern teaching techniques (Walkie talkie, HD recordings and pictures). Overall I am really happy to have booked lessons with Stephan and I'm looking forward to go back to Cabarete to continue practising.

When we checked in Stephan knowingly took our 4 day training and supervision fee knowing there would likely only be one day of sufficient wind. And according to his employees on our 2nd full day, Stephan left Cabarete to go parasailing on another part of the island leaving us with no explanation or refund.
Janina who helped book our trip called Stephan after he left town but she wasn't able to help resolve the blunder. Stephan told Janina that he fulfilled his training to us in one day. I don't hold Stephan responsible for the lack of wind, but for his questionable business practices,
If you decide to use Kitexcite you'll need to be VERY assertive with Stephan and I recommend only paying for one day at a time to ensure Stephan fulfills his end of the deal.
Cabarete is an awesome place to kiteboard- next time I will use Kite Club Cabarete.

Our reputation at Kitexcite is of utmost importance to us, and I'm sorry to hear that the visit was not an excellent experience. It is extremely rare that a client of ours does not have a fulfilling visit. We appreciate this review and the opportunity to further explain.
The package that was booked was not through Kitexcite directly, but through a Tour Operator or Hotel, which offers even deeper discounts to our already aggressive pricing. When booking a trip through the Tour Operator or Hotel, the package clearly states, no refunds, regardless if a lesson or course is cancelled by the customer, or not completed due to weather. (this is the only way to offer the deep discounts), the client agreed to this package and choose to move forward knowing the risks.
Along with our reputation being held in the highest regards, so is our customer satisfaction. It is thrilling for us to have a happy, new, sufficient, kiteboarding client. Because of this and an unpromising wind forecast for that week, the client and Kitexcite agreed we would start our lesson a day early, we also combined a couple days’ worth of lessons into one to take full advantage of the windy day.

i've been to cabarete to kiteboard with a friend in 2011 (one week in mid june) and in 2012 (one week in mid may) and i can just highly recommend this school!..not only they have any kind of gear to kiteboard in any wind conditn (note: i got ALWAYS wind, all the 14 days i spent there..great!) but the staff is also cool/fun/friendly!
this is probably the best school in cabarete (besides being the first there)..i think the fact that it is led by a german guy helps :))

A friend and I came to Kitebeach to learn how to kiteboard. Our instructor, Mariam, was very helpful and patient. The package deals were the best we could find. Even though we had quite a bit of bad luck with the winds not being very strong during our stay, Stefan (the owner) has a lot of methods and equipment to teach in low wind conditions. After lessons, he offers the money you spent in lessons as a discount if you buy any equipment. I was very satisfied with the experience, and I definitely recommend Kitexcite to anyone going to Cabarete/Kitebeach
