I booked this direct after readings reviews on here, Jose Diaz emailed me back quickly with prices etc. Was picked up at the hotel and taken to "ranch", as none of us had ridden before we were all a little apprehensive but were put at ease straight away. We had a very enjoyable ride through some lovely scenery, the guides were lovely and through our broken spanish and their broken english we got along just fine. At the end of the ride we were treated to go to Jose house and have a snack and drink which was lovely. I would def recommend to anyone wanting a rustic and honest trek.

This was by far the best excertion I've ever been on!! There's nothing like having a dose of adventure and culture all in one! The ride we went on brought us through a local village, through rivers, and up a small mountain with breathtaking views (perfect for pictures!) The staff was AMAZING and they treated us like they knew us forever! I'm a horse lover but only rode a few times but that did not even matter the horses were so friendy and very easy to ride!! Trip is booked again for this year!! It truly is a hidden gem!!

We found this ranch after doing some research, contact the owner, Jose, who was prompt in getting us information. On the day of our trip, he had a driver pick us up at our resort and drive us to the rance. From Puerto Plata, is is about a 45 minute trip. The guides were wonderful and between their broken english and my broken spanish we could all converse. They really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your ride. The horses were well kept and user friendly. Jose and his family were very friendly and we would love to visit them again in the future.

This ride was great! Good mix of gallop, trotting as well as mountain and valley views. It was also long (approximately 2.5 hours) so you get your fill. Would definitely go back if I am in the area.

My wife wanted to ride on the beach, every one went from old to young and found this to be a pleasant experience. Having the horse run in the water was a thrill for many. Would recommend this attraction to everyone.

Jose and his crew gave us a great experience for a fair price. When I told him I wanted to spend less for our family of seven and only go for 90 minutes for a ride to the beach, he gladly accommodated our request. Of course, every horseback ride for novices makes your butt sore, but the horses were gentle, eager, and well-trained. Thoroughly enjoyable!

There is nothing more to say than ; You have to do this.! The ride is great and you have perfect vieuws. You discide your ride, when you stop for pictures or pauze if you want to swim or not even the riding speed. The horses are very kind and the match with the horse experience of the rider. We both ride for the first time and they're very helpfull and patient to make you comfortable on the horse. If you want an experience you will never forget, go to this Ranch!!

I was riding today with my 5 & 7 years old kids too. We were picked up by a friendly guy and everyone in the ranch was nice too. Horses are quite skinny like in any other ranch in Cabarete, but trustable and easygoing. Go for it!

We found Rancho Veragua on trip advisor and weren't disappointed! The staff were very friendly and patient with a couple of non-riders. The horses were well cared for. This was the highlight of our trip and we would definately go back for another tour next time we are here again.
