I used Ecotour Barahona for transfers from Santo Domingo to Barahona and from Barahona to Punta Cana; both of these were perfectly organised by Nico and the drivers were excellent. In Barahona I made two tours (Laguna de Oviedo and Bahia de las Aguilas as well as tour of Lago Enriquillo). Both of the tours were wonderful - Bahia de las Aguilas is certainly one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen and Lago Enriquillo is very special and something you may not expect to see when you think of Dom. Republic. We also had a very good driver and Jasmine, the tour guide, had a wonderful personality and made the tours very pleasant. I can highly recommend Ecotour and would certainly use them again if visiting the SW of Dom. Republic again - it is a beautiful part of the country.…

We went for the Cacao Trail Hike and really enjoyed it! Our guide Yovanny was great, and spoke excellent english and we really learned a lot also. We hiked for approx. 9 km (according to our sports watch), the first 1,5 hours uphill and after that, up&down. We hiked in the beautiful nature, among coffee and cacao plants, and avocado/sweet lemon/grapefruit/passionfruit trees and had fresh fruit straight from the tree. Halfway we stopped for lunch at a house with a haitian family and had pasta with fresh avocado. Recommend for hikers and nature lovers! Remember to bring good shoes. …

Our guide (Jasmine) was very knowledgeable about the tour. Her English was more than perfect and she explained everything really well. We were a couple on holiday for 7 days, this was by far our best experience, I can only recommend this tour to everyone! The driver (Jose) was great too, in this country most people drive very dangerous, the road is a dangerous place as well with all the bikes, etc. But he gave us a safe feeling during the trip! Sam…

Review of: Untouched Paradise – Bahía de Las Águilas
I like the finer things in life and am usually nervous booking tours for fear that they won't live up to my expectations. Well, book your tour now ladies and gents because Ecotour will not disappoint. Our tour guide's name is Jasmine and she was beautiful, sweet, inspirational, and a great conversationalist. She had the perfect balance of providing info and taking pics and allowing us to have our private time. She made the tour fun and exciting and she was very accommodating. Our driver Ronald was very patient too as we asked to stop at various places to take pics and grab snacks. We selected a private tour to Bahia de Las Aguilas and this is a MUST when visiting the DR. I had visited the DR annually for the last 8 years and this was my first time visiting this flawless beach. When we return in a few months we will select Ecotours Barahona again. Hugs to Jasmine!…
