My boyfriend's family just happened to know the owners of this place, so we traveled here to learn the history of this instrument as well as discover the process of how it is created. It's a great way to learn about Chiapas and its people.

The band gave us a private concert and let us step behind the marimba to try our skills! The museum itself if quite small but if you love music, you will appreciate how complex playing this instrument actually is!
