Only passed through

Seems like a really nice town of you want to avoid Tuxtla G and be closer to the canon. We only passed though but would have preferred staying here...

We stopped in Chiapa de Corzo for one night on our way from the Tuxla Gutierrez Airport to San Cristóbal de las Casas in order to take an early morning boat tour of the Sumidero Canyon. No night life and few restaurants but a cute compact old city. There's other things to do but the Sumidero Canyon river trip is... More

As long as the teachers don't take and bloc the federal highway its fine. It's amazing the Sumidero Tour one of the most beautiful sites. Very sad to see how the teachers had kidnap the city, you can't walk safe, you always feel insecure and you can notice how the population is sick of them, and how they have destroyed... More

I got a bus here from Tuxla. Only 14 peso and the 2 hour boat ride down the canon was only 190 peso. So i wouldnt bother booking a tour uts easy enough to do on your own and cheaper

Chiapa de Corzo is beautiful. Lots of great shopping. It is hot here compared to San Cristobal de las Casas. The square is so unique. Lots to see and do right around the square.

If you want to walk safe & see different attractions this is the place to visit. They know how to handle tourism without sacrificing their authenticity. You can catch a bus from Tuxtla to this town or to drive there is good space for parking. What I like the most about Chiapa is that you get a longer trip in... More

We stopped here on our way to San Cristobal and Palenque. Small town, walkable, people very friendly. Could see everything in a afternoon.

Very classical town, full of crafts, enjoyable. Bring sunscreen, a hat and plenty of water. Heat and humidity are severe!
