It is located in the beach and just near Samila beach. And just beside Samila resort hotel. It takes about 10 minutes or so by car or taxi from the city center. The bronze statue is not big , but it has very artificial beauty. But there are nothing to see another points near by. Only beach around and hot... More

Yup, it's a mermaid alright. Nice little statue. What else is there to say? Heaps of tourists want to make a photo, so if you want just the mermaid, come very early in the day. I found the story of it nicer than the statue. That said, it IS the symbol of Songkhla and you have to have seen it.

We have come to this place again. We visit here every couple years or so in past 13 years. It has slowly developed into like other cities in Thailand. This years, we notice the beach was significantly cleaner. Much less broken glasses to the point of US standard. Just last a year or 2 ago, I remember carrying trash bags... More

After along drive to Songkhla, you can have lunch in here. Near to the beach, there are a lot of seafood restaurant with a reasonable price. And the mermaid statue is situated near the restaurant.

The statue itself is very pretty and is in good shape. Access is good and the cart vendors are friendly and not overbearing. I thought the beach looked clean and it is a very nice place to take a picture. There were no swimmers visiting when I stopped by and it seemed like it was in a conservative area where... More

there are not many attractions in Songhla Province, the sea isn't very suitable for swimming, hotels are old and outdated, the zoo is dirty and not kept well at all. Overall for tourists not very interested. Restaurants are plenty and quite good food

The statue of the Mermaid on the beach at Songkhla is a famous must see attraction for all ages. It is famous sll over Thailand. Sitting on a rock on a beautiful beach she presents a great photo opportunity. Nearby are little stalls selling souvenirs, ice creams & pony rides. There are some well priced seafood restaurants nearby Worth the... More

We really enjoy this beach, the statues are really nice, also a lot of little shops around to buy some food or the great Ice cream in a coconut, there is clear water and a lot of shells and sea life, people is really kind, I'd love to come back one day

This statue is located at a point which overlooks the Thailand sea, the entrance to Songkhla harbor, and the northern side of the waterway. It's a great photo op!

Mermaid statue is a symbol of Songkla which locate at Samila beach. There are many seafood restaurants and food stalls nearby the beach. I went there many times in the evening because it was not too hot. Took a walk and had icecream. Great
