It’s a small statue and very tourist packed. Location is a nice walk along the harbour front. If you can’t make it to this statue I would not worry about it. You are able to get quite close to this statue but touching it would...More

If you want to get a photo of the mermaid without a crowd of people surrounding her, then go early in the morning. She looks much more spectacular sitting alone with the backdrop of the sea.

one of the nicest beaches I've seen in Thailand it was a beautiful day but nobody was sunbathing or swimming, maybe due to the high Muslim presence where modesty prevails, I'm not sure but horse riding was fun, don't bother with the offer of photos...More

Probably fun if you bring young kids, but really not very exciting or interesting. The surrounding beach area is lovely however. Seems underused by locals for swimming, it was very peaceful and great water temperature for a relaxing swim.

Try to avoid the rainy season especially in December because flooding may occur especially in roads leading to Songkhla. Songkhla itself is ok since it it by the sea.

We saw 2 to 3 horse-owners by the Songkhla beach. They are there from early morning about 9 am to 6 pm.
