My husband and I were very impressed with how beautiful this museum was. Very organized and gave a lot of information about the opium trade in Asia and across the world. Will definitely recommend to people who are visiting the area.

A fairly massive museum in a beautiful park setting funded by the Royal Family in Thailand. The entrance fee is 200 baht, but if you're a senior and show your passport it's 150 baht. The three floor building has displays, movies and exhibits on the...More

Museums are not necessarily what you visit the Golden Triangle for, but this is well worth a trip. Did you know that the British Government indirectly helped support and fund the opium trade? I didn't. That and a lot of other infomation is set out...More

Informative, exciting and beautifully presented. Very easy to walk round and staff were helpful. Leave plenty of time as it is large and do look into the shop, lots of very reasonably priced goodies.

This is the official Hall of Opium set up by the Queen Mother. It is "edutainment". I walked the pleasant 2 km curvy road from Golden Triangle with no worries.

However, we never had any rain, but this is a great indoor museum and quite large. If you're coming in the rainy season then keep it for a rainy day. Slightly disappointed, there were no free samples of Opium ;-)
