Not worth it.

No towels freely available. When you ask, they give you tiny towels. Water was not hot enough for my baby. But the absolute worse thing is that you have to pay almost 1/2 the price of entry for the lounge chairs!! Ridiculous! I understand this is a Korean style water park next to a very a Korean style hotel... but I’ve been to better water parks in Korea where I don’t have to worry about my baby getting sick.

Fun place for a whole day
Jul 2018 • Friends
Located just next to Hanwha Resort, Sokcho this water park is real fun place to stay a day. A day ticket onsite is 60,000 won but online prepaid coupons are available in some sites with about 40% discounts. There are many water activities in the park with 3 big sliding tracks. These tracks are very exciting and must do fun activities of the park. If you visit Sokcho, better to reserve a day for Waterpia.

Good fun

Facilities are good. The only downside will be the strict rules on swimwear + swimming cap unless you are going for the sauna. Swimming cap rental is available, they do have a shop selling swimwear for people that dont have it too.

A very good water park especially for families.
Jul 2017 • Family
Excellent as they are not that crowded compared to other big water parks such as Carribean Bay and Ocean World. But still has exciting rides to enjoy and have various pools so that families can enjoy. I try to come here every year and always give me pleasure for the day.

Hot Tub Wonder World!
Apr 2017 • Couples
We were only able to visit for 4 hours, but it was well worth it! We visited after a day of hiking and decided to spend most of our time in the hot tub area. We actually didn't use the water park itself.
The day was cold and rainy, so it made for an awesome visit! The steam coming from the outdoor hot tubs looked awesome at night! It was cold on the way to get to the hot tub area, but once you're in a tub, it is amazing! Very relaxing!

Fun Day in at Waterpark
Sep 2016
This place has indoor pools, an outdoor pool and many rides. Good place to have fun for a day. I visited here in late September and the water temperature was rather warm. Note that if you go here in peak season, the line for rides tend to get really really long. I think best time to visit is early July and late September.

Great Spa
Jan 2017 • Solo
Waterpia is one of the oldest water park in South Korea, but it is very well maintained yet today. I like the spa especially during winter! Sauna in the middle of snow! Pretty awesome place.

Average waterpark, premium price
Jan 2017 • Family
Returned to Waterpia after a few years. This time in winter - low season. On the upside, the place was nearly empty, and the Maelstorm Slide that normally has 30-40 min line-ups coule be ridden over and over with no wait. On the downside, the other big slide outdoors and the Aventure Island aling qith thw dry sauna were closed.

The overall setup for the waterpark is nice but nothing special. The price however... even with a 30% discount we paid about CAD 150 for 2 adults and a kid. List prices are very expensive (CAD70 for an adult in the low season). There seems to be many was to get a discount but it is actually quite hard to do. The price of everything else inside is akin to airport pricing.

The waterpark at Sol Beach resort, where we stayed, didn't have a slide but had all other similar pool attractions but better executed and for lesser price.

Overall verdict: decent waterpark, definitely overpriced. We're unlikely to return for another few years at least.

Why don't we have these in the US?
Aug 2015
It's like an indoor water park, plus spa. We were surprised at how much fun we had. The water was nice and warm. The wave pool seemed a bit dangerous and overcrowded, so watch your kids closely.
