[Premium Private Tour] Mt Seorak & East Sea or Nami island from Seoul

5 reviews
This combination tour offers both time in nature and the city. First, travel to Seoraksan National Park and take a cable car to the peak of Gwongeumseong Fortress—the site of old castle ruins—at the top of a mountain. Then visit the fishing village of Sokcho, where you can visit a Teddy Bear Farm, hang out at Sokcho Beach, take a raft to a North Korean refugee village, and more.

I have been to this market many times in the past. Like most similar markets in Korea, it contains a variety of sea food items and vegetables of all kinds. This market also has a remarkable # of little restaurants (recommended) and at the lowest floor you’ll find sea animals you didn’t know existed!

It’s a two storey building with an outer perimeter. For the building, the first floor is catered to dried food, marinated fish stuff, etc, while the second floor is focused on clothings. The outer perimeter is where wet market (both live and dead fishes/aqua beings) is. You’ll find tons of king crabs and some exotic fishes like the monk fish. Just behind the building is a food street where there are many cooked food options. You would see many queuing up or carry boxes of Dak gang jeong (fried chicken bites coated with sweet and sour sauce). Don’t forget that there are many other options like Sunbae, Ojingeo Sunbae, hotteok, etc..

This is a MUST go place if you’re planning on visiting Sokcho. The market offers all sorts of snacks, ranging from traditional to new and trending snacks. You can experience Korean culture deeply here while eating some of the tastiest foods! I forgot to take pictures because it was so crowded and I was so busy buying food, but I recommend the Dakgangjung 닭강정, Hoddeuk 호떡, squid sausage 오징어순대, and chicken skin gyoza 닭껍질 교자.
