The beach is small and nice and a good change of pace if you are on a hiking expedition to Seoreoksan. Korea has much nicer beaches in Busan but we still enjoyed having a relaxing morning/afternoon under a parasol at this beach. Good options for cafes and food nearby you can bring to the beach with you if you like.

It was my first time visiting Sokcho beach and I must say that it is one of the best beaches I have ever seen. Although I came from the Philippines, which has the best beaches in the world, Sokcho beach offers a different vibe and atmosphere. It is just amazing how Korean people and tourists can preserve the natural beauty of the beach because it was so clean and the waters are pristine and brilliant blue. The most interesting thing to do in Sokcho beach is to visit it at night where there are fewer people. If you book a guesthouse near the beach, it is a good spot to have a late-night walk and contemplate life.

There is a walkway along the beach if you don't like getting sand in your shoes. The beach itself is not really beautiful. Close to the beach are also 2 containers which spoil the view. Due to covid you enter the beach area through a so called disinfection system and you are asked to wear your mask although most people do not wear it.

Really lovely beach full of local families, couples, friends. Nice walk, clean, with food nearby. The view there is really lovely - blue sky, blue sea. Will go back again.

If you are visiting Sokcho, you will not likely to miss this beach. I visited around 7pm before the sun set. It was a pleasant stroll along the pier as well as stepping on the soft sand. Also took some photos of its coastline.

Rented a two bedroom single family home,6 min from the beach. Was wonderful and the beach was not over crowded. Walked with our dogs on the beach and enjoyed the sunsetting over crystal blue water.

Check out early morning to witness Sokcho's beautiful sunrise! And it never failed me. This is a must visit place. Not so crowded during winter though. This should be the first activity to check out before heading to Seoraksan! Even during night time, the place still glitters with beautiful lights! 😍😍😍

The beach is quite pleasant especially if you go on a weekday as it tends like everything else in Korea, to be very busy on the weekends.

Sokcho beach is good for people staying in Sokcho but there are better beaches that are less crowded right down the road. Make sure you pay close attention to the lifeguards and beach forecasts as we could not get in the water as the waves and current were too storing for the lifeguards to give the public the green sign to get in. Soooo..... we just stood there and looked the water. The more info you have the better.

Pros:
- beautiful water
- in Sokcho proper
- close to many resorts
- lots of places and things to see
- general safety was good

Cons:
- crowded at times
- rough water/currents might be an issues so you cannot get in the water. Research online before going
- free parking is difficult to find. Most places charge around 3k won for the day
