This is one place where you get a chance to see, admire, appreciate and fall in love with amazing works of art in glass. Most of the pieces on display are masterpieces of the famous artist Ramon Orlina. They evoke different emotions in each beholder. They're not only mesmerizing themselves, but the lovely location of the museum matches their beauty. The museum is located in Tagaytay overlooking the Taal Lake and Volcano. Entrance fee is only Php 150. It's a four-level museum with an observation roof deck and a wonderful garden with sculptures. Guests will definitely find the place worth-visiting. Highly recommended! 👌

This is a relatively small museum and you probably only need 30 minutes here, 45 maximum.

They have some really lovely glass sculptures on show here by Ramon Orlina. The museum also displays some paintings and sculptures by other well know Philippine artists such as BenCab. The pieces are well displayed and not crammed in.

Well worth stopping in for a short visit.

We visted the museum which is an art gallery of glass sculptures and othe pieces of art plus a sculpture garden. The sculptures are quite stunning and this really is a little gem of a place near the Tagatay markets. Modern art that you really would like in your home.

the place is nice. the sculptures and paintings were all equally nice and interesting to look at. the only downside would have to be the sculptures displayed in the garden coz it's all open space and it rained when we reached that area. there's no turning back and there's no place to wait out the rain coz your only way is the exit which is other side of the entrance. so you would really get wet and there's no one to assist you

Museum opens exactly at 10AM. During last Sunday's visit with my husband, a male in white t-
shirt whom we presumed is an employee of Orlina was sitting down on a small bench, with a two way hand held radio on his waist. He did not even bother to say good morning to us new and early guests. He did not offer his seat to me; he just continued with his texting and idle sitting down.

The receiving personnel did the same. no greetings of good morning or good day to at least relieve us guests of the long travel from Manila to Tagaytay. No smiles nor warmth reception.

It would be helpful if chairs for waiting guests are prepared. If receiving personnel are all smiles and warm.
And if a map or directory of the whole museum is provided as hand outs.
Museo Orlina's people need a much needed personality sculpting!

If you're in Tagaytay and you want an escape from it's now too crowded attractions this one's for you. It's right across Tagaytay-Sta.Rosa road. WARNING! for newbie drivers, you're in for a challenge. The intimidatingly steep road that leads to the museum may appear difficult, it's so steep that I couldn't help but literally hold my breath while we're on our way down.
Nested on a spot where you could enjoy Tagaytay's awesome view of the country's smallest volcano, Taal, this museum also houses a great collection of glass sculptures. I find most of the pieces unique and almost unreal. I'm pretty sure that shaping glass is not an easy feat, what more if you have to shape them into lifelike sculptures? Truly a masterclass collection.
Paintings, Sculptures, and other art installations from other artists are also present in this four story museum, which by the way also has a garden full of metal installations and a roof deck that would give you a majestic view of Taal lake.
A hundred pesos is not a bad price at all. Here are some of the photos I took.

Ramon Orlina is one of the Philippines most celebrated artists. His pioneering in glass sculpture is amazing to see up close so be sure to visit his gallery.
If you take your children, keep them under control as the artwork is delicate.

One good thing for a glass sculpture is you can touch and feel it and that is why I like this place. Every piece has it's own story. I'm really amazed the number of hours in grinding, sanding and polishing of sir Orlina to create such artworks. No wonder he was called the "Father of Philippine Glass Sculpture". A fee of Php100 is fine, and again you can touch it and feel the artwork...

I ventured to Museo Orlina on a midweek morning, and so I basically had the museum all to myself. The museum is located near the Tagaytay rotunda and easily accessible to both private and public transportation. The entrance fee is 100 pesos for adults, and 80 pesos for students/senior citizens. When you arrive, they show you a short 15-minute video introduction before going into the museum. Flash photography and video taking is prohibited, so don't forget to turn-off your camera's flash when taking pictures. For your convenience, you should note that there is an elevator that can take you to all of the floors of the museum.

I found the place to be clean, well-maintained and generally enjoyable. The artwork were unique, interesting and pleasing. They also had descriptive notes beside each work explaining the artistry and history of the pieces. Depending on your aesthetic, exploring the museum can take you from 20 minutes to beyond one hour - I found myself to be one of the latter.

For me, there are very few legitimate attractions (most are overrated) in Tagaytay, but I found my experience in Museo Orlina to be worth the visit.
