The site is a religious shrine in Tagaytay City before Picnic Groove. It is a very solemn place and you will feel the sanctity. Every time we go to Tagaytay, we make sure that we visit the place to ask for Blessings from the Lord through the intercession of Mama Mary. I could not describe the place very well but the photos herein will speak for itself.

Let me share with you the A.M.E.N. Prayer just in case you want to try it on one of the images posted here:

"Almighty Father, I humbly pray as I beg for Your Love and Mercy. Lord forgive us our sins as I acknowledge that I am nothing without You because by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.

Mama Mary, intercede for us as I lift up to Your Son, Jesus my family, my loved ones, my friends, my enemies, my detractors. I lift up the souls of my loved ones as I ask them to pray for us. I lift up all the souls in purgatory. I lift up all the people I promised to pray for, especially those who are sick. I lift up my personal intentions as I believe in faith, He only has to say the Word and my wishes shall be granted.

Empower me with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Guide me in all my thoughts, words and actions. Anoint me Lord, grant me the power and authority to do your will that everything be for your greater glory. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, I command Satan and all evil spirits to get out of our bodies because our bodies are the Temples of the Holy Spirit. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, I tie you Satan and I bind you and I throw you at the foot of the cross so that you will be forever vanquished from the face of the Earth. Yes Mama Mary, I ask you to step on the head of the serpent and forever crush him. This I ask in the Mighty Name of Jesus through the powerful intercession of Mama Mary."

I have always been a Marian devotee but my faith in Mother Mary even grew stronger after a great miracle in our lives. My mother suffered from aneurysm three years ago. The doctors told us to pray for a miracle for we may either lose her or she would end up abed ridden for life. I remember coming here, praying for our dear mother almost every week. After three years, my mother is now well, walking, sharing funny stories with her grandchildren, just living life ti the fullest. We make it a point to visit once Month up to now to offer our thanksgiving. Whenever something is bothering me or i need to make an important decision, i come here to reflect. I have had several prayer requests which were answered.

Devotion to the Virgin Mary is very common to Roman Catholics and this attraction near the Picnic Grove was one of the most visited not only by devotees but also by non-believers.

There's a tiny chapel hidden at the back of the huge statue of Our Lady of Manaoag, a quiet place where you can sit and relax for a few minutes while saying your prayer.

As i pray and concentrate ,as i look into the eyes of Mama Mary and the Baby Jesus she's carrying ,i was surprised /shocked and i was trembling when i opened my eyes i saw Mother Mary in front of me holding my hands , and she was gone in a blink of an eye , I can't believe what i just saw or what happened , but i felt the warm touch of her hands in mine , and when i turned and look at the Virgin Mary in my left where everyone was falling in line to hold and pray , it was her The Blessed Virgin Mary dressed in white veil and blue dress , this place is miraculous and if you truly pray from your heart you will experience a heavenly presence , i thought i share this experience maybe some has the same experience like i did when they went to this place .

The driver of our van recommended this place. The place is actually tiny, but it's a good way to start your Tagaytay trip. It's actually near Picnic Grove. We passed by this area to say a little prayer before starting our Tagaytay trip. Aside from images and statues of Jesus and other saints, there is also a small store selling rosaries and other religious materials at the entrance of the chapel. You can also climb at their third floor to get a view of Taal lake. On your way out there are also vendors selling fruits and local delicacies. There is also this giant statue of Our Lady of Manaoag.

In my opinion this is the one bright spot in Tagatay! Peaceful, quiest and I was able to reflect and pray for the souls of the scammers that over charge at at every single venue in this city.

Went to the other side of Tagaytay coming from Taal Vista just for this. I thought that this is a place where you can pray peacefully and I expected that the place is serene like a mini version of Caleruega. But lo, it's the complete opposite: vendors in the entrance and even inside the "shrine" selling toys, food and other what-nots. The chapel area plays loud music--religious songs but loud enough to distract a person praying. There's an area which sells religious stuff with lots of people and a man who seems to be preaching. The entrance leading to the prayer area smells like animal dung.

There's supposed to be an upper area where there's a fish spa and a view deck but it was closed during our visit due to on-going construction work.

The entrance to the site is free so technically, I should not complain but I really felt bad travelling extra kilometers just for this.

PS: The name of the place is actually Tierra De Maria. I suggest that the thread title be renamed to avoid confusing this one with the Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine in Pangasinan.

Visiting Tierra de Maria is a must. It's such a solemn and serene place for prayer and meditation. Marian devotees shouldn't miss this place when visiting Tagaytay. Do visit the rooftop as it has an excellent view of Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.
