Not exactly traditional, given it is a modern building, but unless you are taking a balloon flight this is a good way to get a bird's eye view of the Bagan landscape. Loved that they have a bar serving 2-for-1 cocktails 4-6pm (the main time people are up there), a real sundowner. The sunset will of course depend on the cloud cover, so is a matter of luck.

This observation tower provided me with what have probably been the most beautiful views I have ever seen. For those unwilling or unable to shell out US$320 for a balloon ride, this is a wonderful $5 alternative.

Good aerial view. Cheap and good. Better than hot air balloon. Excellent view for sun set view. Please note that admission is still possible even after sunset but there is nothing to see. Admission ticket include one welcome drink

The modern observation tower built on site allows you to comfortably view the surroundings without being distracted from the groceries with a cocktail.

We went here really, really early in the morning to see the sunrise. Despite the clouds and lack of balloons the view was stunning. It’s such a lush, green and beautiful area. There is so much to see everywhere. It does get busy during sunrise, but there is enough space for the kids to stand and look around.

The biggest eyesore I have ever seen.
Bagan, Myanmar is the land of pagodas which houses more than 2200 temples and pagodas. I enjoyed me stay in Bagan very much except one- Nann Myint Tower and Aureum Palace Hotel & Resort.
The 50 meter tower and the resort is located in the heart of the pagoda land. People were relocated to New Bagan to preserve the historical pagoda land. However, the military oligarchy build a monster structure which dwarfs the surrounding pagodas. See it yourself in the pictures. Please share and boycott if you can.

This is a great place to see overall of sky view of Bagan. The entrance fee was 5 USD which was worth. There is also a restaurant and art work display.

The viewing platform of this new tower is on the 13th floor and gives visitors a spectacular view over the whole area of ancient Bagan, view wise much better than climbing up one of the temples.
An elevator brings you to the 11th floor from where you have to use stairs. I was told that there is a restaurant on the 9th floor, but I didn’t go there.
Entrance fee is US$ 5 except for guests of the nearby hotel.
I can highly recommend to go up this tower.
