From the outside this ancient , unplastered temple looks small and uninteresting, but its interior has some amazing wall paintings which alone are worth the Bagan site entrance fee

Our guide spent 1/2 hr taking us around her favourite temple. The paintings inside and her explanation now makes it my favourite as well. It is small and inside the walls are original but faded. Well worth a visit with a well informed guide.

This pagoda is one of the oldest in Bagan, from the 10th century, and is less visited than the main temples in Bagan. However, certainly worthwhile to stop by. It has only one entrance, facing east, just behind Thatbyinnyu temple. It has the oldest murals...More
