This beach seems like my version of the favorite beach in Banyuwangi. The beach is quite hidden, the water is clear greenish. To reach this beach, you can walk from the parking area on the Rajekwesi beach, or rent a boat from a local fisherman for 50k per person round trip, complete with life jackets. Unfortunately on the land, there is still trash at some point. Hopefully in the future, managers and visitors can better maintain the cleanliness of this beach

Teluk Hijau (Green Bay) is one of those areas to visit in Banyuwangi for those in the know.

Accessibility is still quite difficult with the last 2-3 km of gravel terrain making it a slow drive. To get here, we first need to get to Rajegwesi beach which is located in Meru Betiri nature park. You pay 10K (For locals, not sure how much for foreigners) to enter.

Once you park at the beach, there are 2 options to access the Bay. Firstly by boat which is 35K (return) or 25K (one way). The boats are tiny motorised traditional fishing vessel which only fits up to 6 passengers. The boat ride takes about 10 minutes through choppy waters, our group left at 2pm and returned at 4.30pm. Waves could be gentler at other time of the day.

The other option is by ojek which costs 10K per passenger, I’m not sure how long it will take as it is about 2-3km drive through rugged terrain.

For those adventurous souls, it is possible to hike through the forest to get to the bay. Apparently it’s about a 45min-1h hike which will take you through the hill. Be aware that you need to be fit to do this.

I would recommend to go here before it gets too commercialised & touristy. It still has that natural beauty and not terribly crowded yet.

The acces road to that place is not well maintained (some people said it is made on purpose to avoid too many visitors) so you need to drive about 25km or 1h on a rocky road. The national park entrance fees are 5 000 idr per people and 10 000 for the car. You then need to pay again 20 000 idr per people for the ojek to finish the last 1 km of destroyed road.
After 15 to 20 min walk down you firt arrive on a rocky beach that looks nice but nothing special, and 30meter begind the small trees line you will arrive on this woderfull white sand beach with green water, waterfall and really nice sceanery...
We really appreciated that place as we were only the 2 of us.. and a few monkeys.
This place is still very clean and beautifull and i hope it will remain like this for a long time...

This beach called Green Bay because of the green-ish water on its surrounding. Very beautiful.
The area could be reach from Rajegwesi beach. We chose boat option which cost us IDR 35k for return trip. The boat will take around 20 minutes with only take 6-7 person per trip. Prepare for water splash!

The bay itself is not too big. There are a lot of good spot for taking pictures. We spent 2 hours in the area.
Overall it's a very nice trip to Green Bay. Will come back again for sure <3

White sand, rock stones, clean and blue water, rain and mangrove forest and small waterfall.
You can reach this "hidden paradise" using small boat or 3 km walking.
Many spots for photo

Be careful when swimming, it's deep sea with irregular water-stream..!!!

Visiting this beach of Teluk Hijau is very appropriate in the morning. The air is cool and the sun's rays have not felt very good. This beach is like a private beach because it has not been visited by many people and access to this beach take the path from the beach Rajegwesi by boat motor. The beach is very beautiful with white sand and sea water is green. If a visit to this place stop by the Red Beach Island is pretty close to this beach.

This beach is sooo beautiful, the sand is white and very smooth. back of the beach there are green forest. You can reach the beach by car from Banyuwangi for 4/5 hours to Rajegwesi beach. From Rajegwesi beach you can reach teluk ijo by fisherman boat Rp 25.000/ person or trackking across the hill. I suggest you to take a boat because its only take 10-15 minutes. There is no food stall in Teluk Ijo so if you hungry better to eat first in Rajegwesi beach.
