The ancient Sri Erumbeeswarar temple situated on a rock. There are nearly 60 steps to reach the temple. We could see the aerial view of Trichy and able to see the Srirangam gopuram if the sky is clear.

When we went there it was closed but you can walk up top till the main gate of the temple - decent views of the city around greet you. Not sure about the history of the temple though!
