The temple itself is grandiose and an excellent place to visit for architecture buffs but the loud crowds, really badly maintained temple grounds further made dirty by the said crowds takes charm out of the temple visit. there is no serenity, no sense of spirituality that settles over you. Simply visit as a tourist spot.

This is a very powerful temple which is located on the Trichy chennai bypass. Exactly 11kms after samyapuram and take the service road and travel another 5kms will reach Thirupattu were the Temple is located. Must visit temple and go with you Jathakam and give it to the priest they will keep it in the feet of Brahman and give it back to you, considered it will change you fate from bad to good. Very Powerful temple indeed.

The temple is located 5kms away from the NH between trichy and chennai and has ample signs to visit the temple.
Shiva blessed Brahma in this temple and there are 12 shiva lingams
Visit Shiva first and then visit Brahma
Lord Brahma is 6 feet tall and covered in turmeric
After that, you should visit the jeeva samadhi of Maharishi Pathanjali inside the temple. Maharishi Patanjali, lived sometime between 500 and 200 B.C.
The place is so quiet and you can do deep meditation
Tirupattur is located 30 kms from Trichy,in TamilNadu, on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway 45.
It is 10 Kms from Samayapuram towards Chennai

Worship at Sri Brahmapureeswarar Temple at Tirupattur will be the Turning Point in your lives.
It is inferred that a person can change his fate by seeking blessings at Sri Brahmapureeswarar Temple, Thirupattur.
Mythlogical references relate that Lord Shiva blessed Lord Brahma, that every devotee who visits this Temple, and has Darshan of Lord Brahma would see their wishes fulfilled.
There are 12 Lingams inside the first praharam, on right side enclosure (this is separate enclosure). Legend says that Lord Brahma erected all these 12 Lingams to pray for His reverence and mistake.

The deity of Lord Brahma is a majestic 6 feet high. It is fully decorated with Turmeric.
Lord Brahma is in meditative pose sitting in Padmasana on a lotus.
There are many legendary aspects and stories about Lord Brahma being beheaded by Lord Shiva and then blessed Lord Brahma here. Apart from all these, there is strong belief that - Worship at Sri Brahmapureeswarar Temple at Tirupattur will be the Turning Point in your lives.
Lord Shiva as Brahmapureeswara and Goddess Parvathi as Brahma Sampath Gowri are in separate sannidhees.

A wonderfull – not to miss – enclosure, after Lord Brahma, is Maharishi Pathanjali Jeeva Samadhi inside the temple. Maharishi Patanjali, lived sometime between 500 and 200 B.C.
The life of Maharishi Patanjali is an enigma to modern historians. It is only with the help of legends that one can draw inferences about him. Once you enter this enclosure, a Meditation hall, you can feel your inner self is lifted up. I felt this, since I am regular yoga practitioner. I felt extremely elated and stand-still for few seconds. Such was the attractive force of Maharishi Patanjali. Vow, what a feeling!!
In the enclosure, we can see Saptha Kannigaigal – 7 forces of Goddess herself. One who are waiting for marriage or one’s marriage is being delayed or prolonged, prayer to this Saptha Kannigaigal, with Ghee Lamps, will culminate in quick marriage settlement.
We can also pray here with Lord Dhakshinamoorthy, Lord Subramanian with Goddess Valli-Dhevasena and 7 types of Vinayagars and Bairavar.
It was a satisfying visist for me and my family who is deeply rooted to aesthetics and GOD fearing.
One who visits this temple must light 36 ghee lamps ( neei vilakku) to ward-off one’s evil effects of graha dhosham (all graha dhoshams) and get better feeling in life. I did it, praying for my family’s better life. It is available at the entrance of the temple – in 27, 36, 57, etc.ghee lamps- each one is significant for certain prayer. But in my opinion 36 ghee lamps is better. This is to be done before entering the temple, on right side before the entrance.
Tirupattur is located 30 kms from Trichy,in TamilNadu, on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway 45.
It is 10 Kms from Samayapuram towards Chennai.
After you cross Siruganur towards Chennai, there is a left detour from the main highway, towards Tirupattur.
There is a green colour signboard on the highway, which shows the way to Brahmapureeswarar Temple, Tirupattur. The temple is 4 Kms away from this sign board detour on the highway.

The Brahmapureeswar temple 1. Location--it is in trichy district in a village called thirupattur 2. how to go--from trichy railway junction just outside the station platform number of buses are there which takes you to Chatiram bus stand 12 re ticket get down ,walk a bit 5oometres to nearby water tank turn right you will be seeing buses going to perambalur take one of that bus 18re get down at SIRUGANUR i.e while going in the bus one can note on your right side Sri ram medical college hospital, MAM engineering college, indian oil bunk and after that a bharat petrol bunk (ask the co passengers will guide you.) bus stops little farther away so try to get down nearer where on the right side number of share autos will be waiting to pick up. catch one 20re to Brahma temple
alone 40 re to go to Kasi Viswanathan(2 k.m) and Varadarajan Perumal temple next to Brahma temple-which one must visit before entering the Brahmapureeswar after paying visit to these two temples you will enter Brahma temple first you have to light the lamps either you can buy there or take it from home (what they are selling is not real ghee lamps)but anyhow depends upon one's wish take 36 mini Akal lamps light it in a mandapam on the left side before the entrance.the place meant for that purpose only then buy Archana ticket 5re each one of the gurukul breaks the coconut gives you then enter into a line which leads you to lingam pray first then the line leads to Brahma sanctum and again one guru receives the jathagam from you and another guru does archanai if you tell the name etc. he will ask you to stand right in front of Brahma, who changes your destiny, keep your wishes under him with your sincere prayers it will happen positively! after receiving the turmeric paste you come out and get back your horoscopes which were kept already on God's feet dhashanai (tips) 20 to 100 re to the guru one's wish --then pay a visit to Patanjali muni and Amman and many lingams on the side by garden complex
We have to accept the beauty of 6ft Brahma with turmeric paste (nice flavour we get) and tremendous positive vibes inside the sanctum we can also appreciate the orderly manner of arrangements no push or pull in spite of the crowd on Thursdays we can even spend some time with Brahma by talking to Him! wonderful experience!!

This is the only Brahma temple in South India. We visited this place when we went to Chettikulam and the temple is around 18 kms from Chettikulam. The temple is expected to have crowd all the time and the belief is that the visit would bring in good changes in fortune.

Looks like the temple had no great visitors in the last decade but very popular in the recent 3-4 years. The temple has 12 Lingaas in side and visiting Brahma and 12 lingaas is very special.

I visited Tirupattur last on 29.6.14.It is convenient to go by bus from Trichy up to Siruganur and take share auto to Tirupattur. Nice village. Although the Main deity is Shiva,Brahma in seperate samadhi is very famous. Viyagrapathar meditation hall is another vital one. Overall nice village temple. The Brahmins and pro hits are very cooperative and are doing nice service.

Though the temple is located in a sleepy village, Pilgrims visit the temple to seek divine blessings of Lord Bramha (Unique temple with Bramha in padmasana posture) before visiting the temple light the ghee lamps as per your wish and proceed for the shrine, First visit Lord shiva and seek his blessings and proceed straight towards Lord Bramha's shrine (don't go in side directions as per instructions pilgrims are supposed to have darshan of Bramha by standing in front of him) and visit the Godess.

Temple complex is very quite and calm. If you wish to perform pooja for Bramha there is charge of INR 3000 which include abishekam and archana
