Excellent place for shopping. From pin to expensive jewels, textiles at reasonable prices and Burma bazaar for Chinese goods at reasonable . You should have a rough idea about the prices to avoid getting cheated

Big commercial centre with lots of shops for shopping lovers. You can buy clothes, jewels, house hold articles and almost everything from the shops present here.

This NSB road is considered one of the most commercial and busiest roads of Trichy. This road is almost crowded with shoppers of all groups and ages. Good place for a mig range shopping.

As some one pointed out, NSB Road is not an attraction to visit but probably the most popular and favourite shopping place of Trichy city with literally everything available from a shopping perspective. It gets extremely crowded during weekends and festival days that it becomes literally impossible to walk at arms length. Sarathas is the biggest name for textile and fashion shopping while Mangal&Mangal is a general shopping merchant. There is also Raghunath and Vasantha Bhavan among decent mid-class restaurants and literall thronged by one and all after the busy shopping.

Whatever you like to purchase, go there..Sarathas is speacial attractions. Take care of your valuables and belongings since there are many pick-pocket guys around. Not much parking space for the shops. Average kind of hotels available - Raghunath & vasantha bhavan. Dont go there in festival seasons since you will not find enough space to walk even. Girls take enough care, there are some bad guys to disturb you there.

You get fruits at half the price compared to prices in Tamilnadu. But each and every vendors cheat you on scale. I just bought pomegranate 1.5kg for Rs100. I weight in precision scale and found it weigh only 0.78kg. Each and every vendors on street doing same practice

This is not an attraction.

This is Trichy's main shopping district encompassing all the main shopping stores and restaurants. It is usually crowded with the hawkers occupying most of the road and is congested during evening hours.
