The gondola service for the cost is great, but can be much much better, like you experience across the world

Gulmarg Gondola – an uphill task indeed!!! I was at Gulmarg on Monday the 27th june 2016. Its indeed a lovely place to visit in J&K. But remember you have to book the tickets on line the previous morning if you are visiting on a week day . There are two phases. Phase I : Gulmarg to Kungdoor and Phase... More

The beauty of the Gondola ride cannot be captured in words. I have twice taken this ride. The one in summer threw up vistas of lush meadows dotted with streams and grazing sheep. The winter one, if possible was even more beautiful- serene n white mountains, the pines punctuating the pristine slopes. An occasional whizz of a skier reminding us... More

The Gondola ride though a highly mismanaged one, is recommended as it's the highlight of the trip to Gulmarg. It's sad to see the crowd and lines not being managed properly despite the ticket prices being so steep. Lakhs are earned by the operators per day but not invested back to improve infrastructure or create public facilities. However, the natural... More

the best place ...but try it out in off season ...as some times its overcrowded. best option to book online for less headache as management is weak throughout.but when u seat in cable car makes u forget all. handling local guides n horse walas is really tough job.

We bought tickets at TRC in Srinagar and then took the SRTC bus (costs 400 INR opportunity both way) to reach Gulmarg. You've got to take the boarding pass before riding it. It's on your left before the base station. The cable car ride was smooth and pleasant. However, the person handling boarding asked for bribe/ tips for letting 2... More

This is one of the excellent Cable Car ride we had, but a major downpoint is the complete mismanagement, or I would say absent of any management. The moment we reached there near Gondola station, a large number of guides surrounded us and we clearly told that we do not want any help from them. Between their scuffle, they snatched... More

1. Gondola ride is good but expensive. 2. We managed to get the Pase-I ticket only. 3. Poorly managed entry to the Gondola ride. No control (though there are queue barriers). Guides are taking their client bypassing the queue with extra payment. 4. Without Gondola ride one can not visit the Glaciers. 5. Overall good exeriences.
