Folks, worked a last minute plan to travel to Kashmir during Christmas week. It was decided at split of second..Thanks to Trip Advisor. It was your app reviews that helped me find a GOD SENT BUDDY - Irfaan who made all look so very planned. Irfaan, I have less words to describe your assistance and can only say your hospitality... You have to go 12 km up in the local buses for best of the experience. Don't have to make any kind of reservations, the bus was cranky but the trail was seductively sharp. And a lifetime experience would be waiting for you at the destination (not for people from mountains). A lot of fun activities to do. Tea, Snacks,... More

You can get the ticket at counter near gondola. If you dont know skiing and you are first timer dont think of skiing down from phase 1 without guide. Even i was a first timer i went early morning to gulmarg ski learning area where there huge slope where you can learn, i did a guide for Rs1000/- for whole... More

The gondola ride charges around Rs 1600 per person which is equal to around USD25. We were accompanied with a guide which charges an extra Rs 600 which is around USD10. It is indeed a must do ride, it shows the whole snowy mountain and ends up at base 2 which is the Apharwat Peak. It is one of the... More

We visited in Dec 2016 and there was not much snow in Phase 1. We were told Phase 2 had more snow but we did not go to Phase 2 as we were travelling with our 5 yr old son. It was a long walk from the gondola station to the snow area and you will be harassed by many... More

The cable car was excellent but we had to wait for hours even after having online booking for cable car which was disappointing. The views from gondola were mind blowing. Overall experience was good.

I loved it because I had seen snow for the first time in my life. The view is breath-taking! It's best to hire a guide if you want to have a great experience, they not only know everything about the place but they take great pictures as well; very helpful if you are traveling as a couple. The Gondola rides... More

The complete Gondola experience is mis-managed. It would be better if you book the Gondola (both Phase1 and Phase2) in advance and via online portal. Hire a guide who will get the boarding pass. It is next to impossible to get a boarding pass if you are doing it on your own. There is no token system and abrupt fights... More

We have booked both phase I and II through online , however that day only phase I is working and II is not working. But still I can say that Phase I is also a great experience.

There are 2 stages for this gondola ride. Do buy tickets to go all the way to the second stage. You will be rewarded with a view that is unforgettable. There was snow when we were at the top and it was cold. We did spend time playing in the snow and taking breathtaking photos.
