Liangfeng River Forest Park

A peaceful park away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would be suitable for picnics because it is quiet and far from the crowds.
The Tianning Buddhist Temple is opposite the Park

Lianfeng river park

This park is about 10 km south from downtown Nanning. It is not actually very close to the location you have marked on the map. As far as I can tell, it is not very close to any of the bus routes.
Getting into the park is quite confusing. One of the entrances has been closed. It seems that a new highway has been built which cuts the park in two parts. A lot of the infrastructure there seems to be somewhat abandonned. despite that, it is quite nice to walk around, if you can figure out where you are. The part on the west side of the highway is in a fairly steep valley. There is a new temple on the north west side of the park. On the east side of the highway, the park is surrounded by the river and quite flat. There are a lot of labelled specimen trees of various now-rare quangxi species. There is a lake. there are lots of paths wandering around.

Could be better if well maintained

There is a famous Bodhi tree, also be called as marriage linden, people write their wishes on a ribbon and tie it to the tree. Tian Ning Temple and amusement park are also worth a visit. Good place for walking and look around, but not very special.

Could be very nice.....

This park seems to suffer from serious lack of maintenance. If maintained it could be a prized destination spot however currently it needs help! We found the staff to seemingly care less about us as guests. The forest area does have a huge variety of trees and regardless of if you are interested in the kinds the walk in the forest is nice but it is overgrown and lacks what is needed to be a true destination. We had lunch at the restaurant near the hotel and the food was very good and the restaurant staff were very nice. We could see great potential but it seems to have slipped away without good care. You can take the number 301 bus from town but need to watch for your stop! Entrance fee was 15 rmb per person for out visit.

They imported trees from all around the world to this park. It is so beautiful. There is a river that is along side of the park and they have beautiuful man made waterfalls lit up by lights over the highway. It is somthing so nice you can never see in the USA

It's huge, on the way to the airport, and really gives a sense of what the area was like in Zhuang times and before the Han urbanized it.
