I highly, highly recommend Adidas' Chief's tour company. As a solo traveller, I was looking for a safe and fun hiking environment. I got Adidas' contact through a trustworthy mountain guide working in Kenya, and, after a phone conservation, I decided to book my 7-day Machame route tour through his company. Still today, I am very happy with this decision! I felt well taken care off already prior to my departure and throughout the entire trip, and I could not have dreamed of a more personalised service. Adidas arranged my transport from Nairobi to Moshi, came to greet me when I arrived, made sure that I had all the correct equipment and that I reached home safely. He also organised a private tour to visit the Materuni waterfalls and a nice coffee farm prior to Kilimanjaro trip. I cannot stress enough how professional and kind his staff is, whether at the Kilele hotel or the porter crew. Bariki, Porteus, Twalibu and the rest of the group are all mountain heroes! A special mention goes to Deus, our guide, who was very competent and patient – someone we could rely on entirely. After discussion with him, we decided to finish the Machame route in 6 days, and we reached Uhuru peak in 6 hours. This would not have been possible without his support, or that of the crew! I am grateful for the human exchanges, and I will remember this trip for a lifetime. Asante Adidas and everyone!

It was my first trip to Africa, and choosing Chiefs Tours as my travel agency was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Climbing Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, was certainly not an easy task. I got terrible altitude sickness, and the summit day was one of the most difficult days of my life. So, Julius, my guide, had changed my climbing routine to be more adaptable to the mountain's high altitude, and it worked well.

When I was planning my trip to Tanzania, I was able to locate a number of tour companies. Chiefs Tours, on the other hand, has one of the most reasonable prices of any company I looked into. Even though they had a much lower price than others, they provided amazing services and had amazing employees.

The Kilele lodge where I stayed as my lodging also had a very kind and generous staff. They did my laundry for free, and we always had delicious lunches together. I extended my trip, but I didn't have to pay any additional fees for lodging.

In addition, I misplaced my bag in Zanzibar, but thanks to Adidas, I was able to retrieve it in just two days.

As a young Asian girl, traveling alone can be intimidating at times, but Tanzania was a very safe and friendly country, and it is without a doubt my favorite country I've ever visited.

Thank you to everyone at Chiefs Tours and Kilele Lodge who treated me like their daughter and sister, and it was an honor to be a part of their family.

The last three weeks in Tanzania were the happiest moment of my life, and I made many unforgettable memories there.

If you are planning a trip to Tanzania, especially if you want to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, book your trip with this incredible company! You, like me, would start a new family in Tanzania!

This saying has brought new meaning to me.

In December (see previous review) my wife e and I weren’t able to complete a goal we have had for a a few years now. We left Kilimanjaro disappointed and a little defeated but quickly realized with some changes (including the time of year) and refocus we could succeed.

On February Feb 11th we both sumitted the tallest free standing mountain in the world fighting mental and physical challenges along the way. We chose to use the same tour operator (Chiefs Tours) and guides as we did on our first attempt because they did everything right (including supporting our decision to turn around and not put us in further danger). They all possess an amazing spirit and a way at looking at life that compels you to want to be better. They use the saying pole pole over and over to remind you to go slowly (which is one of the keys to success to summit) along with some of their other sayings like drink water and eat (like a nagging mother) but your mind and body make different choices on the mountain and they are there to ensure you find success. What I learned on the way down is that pole pole applies to everything in life. If you take it slowly you will achieve all your goals.

I don’t think I can adequately describe in words the experience. That is something each person needs to decide if it’s for them and do. I can say, time of year makes a huge difference as our first attempt was during the rainy season while we had what I considered perfect weather in February. I can also say that it truly takes a team (one team one dream, one dream one team was something we would repeat often together). Our guides, Jackson and Frank, porters and chef all played a huge role in our success and I in awe of the jobs they have and the lifetime memories they help so many make. Jackson literally carried me down a portion of the mountain because my legs just stopped doing what my brain wanted them to. They push when they have to and listen when they need to.

We are also trying to spread organ donation awareness. Being a living organ donor doesn’t mean you can’t still chase your dreams and find success in either achieving them or learning from coming up short. But it does give someone else the chance to try to achieve their’s. So please consider being a living organ donor and at the very least share stories of people looking for an organ donation on your socials.

The two of us booked a one day trip to Arusha National Park including game drive and walking tour with Adidas. The tour was a beautiful experience, and especially the walking tour was amazing because it is a totally different and unique way of doing safari. Lunch was provided and the portion was big. Unfortunately the start was delayed by 1.5hrs without letting us know. This was really unprofessional, especially because Adidas had our phone number and did not pick up the phone despite lots of tries on our side. We agreed (and confirmed multiple times!) on a compensation in form of a free airport transfer from Arusha. Sadly, he did not keep his promise and stepped back from his offer after the tour and communicated this to us via whatsapp. He argued that we had booked a safari with him even though we explicitly told him that we would only CONSIDER his safari offer. It is really unprofessional, disappointing and weak how Adidas twisted the situation towards his own good. Too bad - because it was such a nice day trip with him.

Chief's Tours exceeded our expectations by providing exceptional care during our climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. The individuals in charge were really professional when we communicated with them immediately. Everything proceeded as planned, and the trekking staff was outstanding. Without the assistance of my mentors Frank and Emmanuel, I would not have reached the summit. The porters are really animals, hauling all that weight up the mountain, and the cook, who must have been an Iron Chef competitor, made some mean meals. I'd want to thank you everyone for a great summit!

My sister and I did the climb up Mount Kilimanjaro with Chief Tours and cannot speak highly enough about this company! The whole team was incredible to work with from start to finish and made it possible for us to accomplish a lifelong dream. They were kind and patient and incredibly knowledgeable on the mountain. I would trust them to take great care of anyone and get them to the top of the mountain! The food was wonderful and the people in our crew were some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. I highly recommend this company if you are doing the climb up Mount Kilimanjaro.

Chief Tours is just amazing. Adidas was really helpful right from the airport. They undoubtedly go above and above to enhance our enjoyment. There's little doubt that the support, encouragement, food, plans, and direction were the main factors in our 10-person team's success! I am already missing the incredible people we met on this trip, and I could not have asked for a more wonderful experience.

Adidas' team led us all the way up to the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. We had a crew of 11 for the both of us. They were efficient, professional and really took care of us even as I was sick all the way up. Our lives were never in danger and they walked to our pace which was "pole pole". We had our own tents, our own toilet and a cook who made delicious food for us. Highly recommended.

After my unsuccessful attempt last year, I've reached the pinnacle at last. Since the beginning, Adidas has been incredibly polite and considerate to my friend and I. They have picked us up from the airport and meticulously set up our equipment. Thanks to Adidas and the staff, we had an incredible experience! I would heartily suggest them to anyone who wishes to climb Kilimanjaro; Chief made for an incredible experience and many memories!
