Overall great experience and most importantly all 4 of us (strangers in our group) summited Kili!
Positives:
- the guides: William, who proffesionally manouvered 4 different caracters, with different skills and expectations and managed to brings us all to the summit in 6 days (even though we all initially booked 7 day tour).
And Emmanuel E with his positive and motivational attitude changed often hard moments into fun and positive experience.
Both of them were excellent and really the biggest highlight of this tour.
Safety was always acknowledged.
I must also compliment the guides and agency willingness to be flexible and change the course of the tour with no issues at all.
Goods:
- Manager Rasheedy. Compliments to his speedy replies (which probably made me decide for Almighty in the first place). I liked the direct, smart replies, however he was a bit superficial and sometimes I needed double check with him some issues. If you want to be guided by hand with numerous (often not important) information, then maybe Almighty is not the company for you.
Average:
Food: personally I was not thrilled about the food overall, which was kind of hit and miss for me. As the days went by I felt variety was very low, and everything tasted the same to me. Could be this was also the effect of altitude, not sure. On the other hand, I must say that the rest in the group seemed to be more happy with the food than my self and also that bringing food supplies to such high and remote camps was an achievement in itself.
Room for improvement:
Equipment: we could see that most of other agencies had better tents than we did. Especially the breakfat/lunch/dinner tent was a joke. Sleeping mats were also problematic and felt like sleeping directly on the ground. Should replace the with air matresses. If they could mamage to improve that, the overall experience would be really great.
Overall price/performance was good.
Tip: treat yourself to a private portable toilet (with a tent) as you really do not want to be using the public restrooms in the camps. Probably best spent 150 bucks ever.

I did the 6 day machame route hike to kilimanjaro summit with them and highly recommend them. My guide, John, was exceptional and I fully attribute my successful summit to him. He understood well my hiking strengths and then planned each day accordingly. Even the summit push was so well planned that we reached there in perfect time (about 20 mins before sunrise).
Other elements (tents, rental equipments, food and support staff) were great too.
Since i booked directly with them, i was able to customise my start/end pickup points without any extra cost.
The hike itself is a great experience. Its challenging, but definitely worth the views and feeling you come across while undertaking this trek.
I m glad to have had Almighty Kilimanjaro help me in completing this successfully!

We booked the 8 day Lemosho hike. Muntari was our lead guide, he visited our hostel the day before our hike to brief us and check our equipment and set our expectations for the hike. On day one Muntari arrived early to pick us up and introduced us to Mr Paul (assistant guide) and the rest of the team joining us for the hike. During the hike we wanted to change the itinerary from an 8 day to a 7 day, Muntari provided us with several options of how we could achieve this. So we ended up completing the hike in 7 days. Both Muntari and Mr Paul were approachable and supportive through the duration and provided daily briefings. Throughout the 7 days the food was amazing and never in short supply so if you think you’ll loose weight doing this hike then think again as we were constantly fully fuelled from pancakes to popcorn and curries to fish and chips It was all amazing! Hats off to our chef. Our safety and well-being were always the teams priority and Muntari and Mr Paul we’re constantly checking in to see how we were mentally and physically and offering suggestions to assist. In addition to all of this, the perfect end to every evening was a hot water bottle in your sleeping bag. The summit morning was an emotional and unforgettable moment and we reached it thanks to Muntari and his incredible team. If climbing Kilimanjaro is on your bucket list make sure you use Almighty Kilimanjaro as our experience was amazing. Thanks again Muntari, Mr Paul and the whole crew.

Just finished our amazing 6-days ascension of the Kilimanjaro via the Machame route with Almighty Kilimanjaro and our wonderful guides William and Emmanuel: We had an incredible experience which will stay in our memories forever!
The organisation by Rasheedy (owner of Almighty Kilimanjaro) was flawless, with quick and precise responses to all my questions. The support and motivation by our two guides William and Emmanuel were incredible - They made the hike feel easy and joyful the whole way, advising us on the best way to succeed in our journey and helping us with our bags and equipment at every step. Finally, the logistical support by the team was great: delicious food and a very efficient and helpful team.
If you want to maximise your chances of reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro, and have a great time doing it, we 100% recommend you to book with Almighty Kilimanjaro and specifically ask for the guides William and Emmanuel!

We were on honeymoon climbing the Machame route in 6 days.
Jackson, Joseph and the team were great they looked after us and helped especially on the way down on the last day when our legs were shot. The team of porters especially Mandela and cook Toff looked after us all trip and catered to our needs, altering food where possible to suit our tastes and keep us going throughout the 6 days. Particular highlight was them producing makeshift baked beans on toast for breakfast instead of porridge for my wife on the last two mornings which undoubtedly helped set us up for a successful summit. We were on honeymoon so Almighty we’re very accommodating and even gave us a private tour which was much appreciated and enabled us to enjoy the whole experience on our terms and at our pace. Whilst on the mountain the team gave us enough space to enjoy our trip together whilst also making us feel looked after and attended to the whole time. We learnt a lot about Tanzania and the mountain from the whole team and spent periods walking with not only our guide and assistant guide but also some of our porters who were very knowledgable too.
Jackson our lead guide was very chilled and calm throughout and made sure we were going at a good pace minimising time trekking without risking our health at altitude. He also helped keep us calm and safe during the big wildfires during our ascent. Overall a great experience, we are incredibly proud of what Almighty Kilimanjaro helped us achieve and would recommend, we also met another climber who was with Almighty in the hotel the night after we finished and he had equally positive experience on Lemosho Route so good across the board by all accounts

I just completed Kilimanjaro trek via Lemosho route with Almighty Kilimanjaro. My experience was very positive.
The manager Rasheed was very responsive to my (many!) questions via email prior and during the trip. Pick up and drop off at the airport was smooth. After completion of the hike, Rasheed was very helpful in helping getting me a local SIM card and proposing additional tour options such as Safari upon request.
The best part os my experience was the trek itself where a team of one guide, one cook and three porters made it possible for me to succeed on this challenging endeavor.
My guide was William and he did his utmost best to make sure I succeeded, from sharing tips, supporting me throughout the hike and even offering to carry my back pack on the night summit ascent so that I could save my energy for the hike itself. I would recommend William as a guide to anyone. Thanks to William I not only successfully completed the hike but also did that in 6 days vs the planned 8. Almost every day at half morning, William offered ginger tea, a small treat which made the breaks very enjoyable!
The food was always plenty and tasty, and the cook did always his best to accommodate my wishes. Breakfast consisted of oatmeal, pancakes, omelette / fried eggs, toast, fruit. Meals consisted of soup, fish / meat and vegetable or pasta / rice in the evening. Towards the end I could not manage to eat much presumably due to altitude sickness side effects.
Porters were very friendly and always happy to help with anything. Incredibly hard working people, carrying up to 20kg each all the way to Kilimanjaro base camp (4600 m). Every morning I was awoken by tea and a bowl of hot water. Hot water was also provided at the end of each day, which really made the difference!
Only improvement point in my opinion is in the equipment. Via email was communicated to me that sleeping bag would be a -30 C comfort temperature and sleeping mattress 10 cm high. At the briefing I was given a sleeping bag which was a Mammut - 5 C, I had to ask to exchange for a warmer sleeping bag (I tend to be colder than other people so wanted to minimize the suffering due to cold). The replacement sleeping bag was a Coleman however with no comfort temperature tag. From comparison with other sleeping bags I slept in before, it did not look to me a -30 C sleeping bag, and one night I was cold however when I told this to my guide, he was quick to offer a spare sleeping bag cover which helped a lot. Sleeping mattress was not 10 cm high, but only around 4 cm however this did not bother me excessively.
Overall I would recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro to anyone wishing to not only successfully reach the summit, but also have a great experience throughout and make new lifetime friends!

As a solo traveler, I summited Kilimanjaro on July 24, 2024, with a local registered company called Almighty Kilimanjaro, and I couldn't recommend them more. Coming alone to a foreign country (I'm from Spain) can be a little overwhelming, but I always felt very safe from the beginning. They took care of me like I was one of their own.
Choosing a local company is not only cost-effective, often half the price of international companies, but it also means contributing more directly to the local economy (and their pockets). I contacted Almighty Kilimanjaro via their website and then through WhatsApp with the owner Rashid. Everything was clear from the start—we agreed on a price and schedule, and the trip was organized smoothly.
Accommodation:
The Salinero Kilimanjaro Hotel, where I stayed at the beginning and end of the trip, was a gated hotel with excellent security. The staff were very attentive and helpful, making for a great stay. The breakfast buffet was also quite good.
The Hike:
I took the Marangu route (5 days) and reached the summit thanks to the incredible guide, John Damian, and his team—Joseph, Enro, Julius, and the chef, Aalbad. Initially, I was concerned about the elevation since I had never hiked/climbed that high before, but the team was always there to answer my questions and calm my nerves. They checked my oxygen levels and pulse twice a day and ensured I followed all safety procedures.
We had daily briefings about the next day's plans, including the route, weather conditions, clothing, and items to pack. (If you don’t own gear, they conduct a gear check at the beginning of the trip, allowing you to rent necessary items at an affordable price). Always follow your guide's advice; if they suggest using poles, do it—you'll need them later on.
Attention to Detail:
The team's attention to detail was incredible. They were always watching over me. The food was another highlight—Aalbad, the cook, prepared nutritious meals every day, rivaling those from a nice restaurant.
Extra Activities:
If you have extra time before or after the climb, visiting the Materuni Waterfalls and going on the coffee tour there is a must. Located in the last village before Kilimanjaro National Park, you'll learn about the Chaga people and how to make some of the best coffee you've ever tasted.
Final Thoughts:
During my time there, I was treated like family by John, the crew, and the driver, Abduly. I now feel like I have family in Tanzania. For aspiring climbers, get the best value for your money—go local, go with Almighty Kilimanjaro. Asante sana ndugu, tutaonana hivi karibuni (Thank you, brothers, hope i can see you soon).

I was recommended Almighty Kilimanjaro by a friend and couldn’t have been more satisfied.
From the initial logistics of the trip all the way to the finish, the attention to detail and the service was excellent.
The guides, cooks & porters we’re all professional and courteous - always thinking one step ahead of us in how they can serve us. Frankly without the guides positive attitude and encouragement, I’m not sure I would have made the summit!
I’d highly recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro to anyone deciding to climb Kili.

The owner of Almighty Kilimanjaro, Rasheedy, was very helpful and responsive during the whole process of planning the trip for my 3 friends and I. He worked with our schedule demands and put together a great itinerary for us. He wqs available to answer all questions via email or whatsapp call. The guides for our hike, Mike and Dickson, were very experienced and were great to spend the time with. Our porters worked very hard to set everything up for us after the hikes; the food was delicious. We made it to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and it was one of the greatest moments we’ve had. The hike overall was incredible… Kilimanjaro National Park is beautiful! The guide for our safari, Johnson, was also fantastic. He knew all of the areas of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. We were able to see all of the big 5 animals. The experience was once in a lifetime and I would recommend Almighty Kilimanjaro to anyone interested in travelling Tanzania.

We can fully recommend to climb the Kilimanjaro with the almighty Team. The organisation off-mountain as well as on the Mountain was perfect. The communication with the Almighty director Rashid was easy via Mail and WhatsApp. He answered our questions fast and was flexible with our wishes like date of departure and extra nights in the Hotel before or after the climb. On arrival we were picked up on time by our driver Raphael, who also showed us the town of moshi the next Day and drove us back to the airport on our last Day. At the salinero Hotel, where we had a relaxing stay with delicious breakfast and Dinner before and after the climb, Rashid introduced us to our head guide Emanuel. Before departure, Emanuel checked our luggage to see if anything is missing. With Emanuel, the assistance guide Issa, the chef Martin and the porters Feya, Haji, Youness, Kelvin, Julius and Kanaa, we had an amazing time on the Kilimanjaro. Emanuel and Issa made the trip very enjoyable, despite the sometimes tiring hikes, and were like friends to us. They are very knowledgable about the flora and fauna of kilimanjaro. They made us reach the peak by their constant Motivation and help with even carrying our daybags in the long and strenous summit night. The Chef Martin prepared delicious breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and even snacks in the afternoon, so we were never hungry. Our tent was large enough for the two of us and equipped with mattresses as well as a table and two chairs. All in all, we had a great time under the guidance of Emanuel and the whole almighty Team and would recommend it to people who are looking for an adventure and don't mind the hardships of climbing a 5895m tall mountain.
