I had one day in Moshi after my Kilimanjaro climb before my flight. In the morning, I contacted Nick at Moshi Tour & Transfer and was able to schedule a same-day Coffee Plantation and Materuni Falls trip.
Nick picked me up at my hotel and we went straight on the excursion! The tour was very nice - hosted by a member of the Chagga, who explained all the wildlife and trees/fruit along the way to the falls. The tour guide was also kind enough to take lots of pictures throughout! The falls were beautiful, as was the walk to get there. The tour also included seeing the entire coffee process (minus the planting/picking as it wasn't the season), and ended in a really delicious cup of coffee!
We drove back and ended the day at a local BBQ place that was amazing (ask Nick to either take you or tell you the name)!! Nick was a terrific host for the day and was able to answer all of my questions about the area and the tourism there. He is very focused on providing the best services! Highly recommend!!

We had an awesome time with Moshi Tours and Transfer in Moshi, Tanzania! Me and my wife did the Machame Route 7 days up to the top of Kilimanjaro, highest point in Africa and it will be one of my best memories of life. Most because of the fantastic group of hikers, porters and the best guides and chef. After Kilimanjaro we went on a 4 day safari, there we had with us two persons from the hiking group, our favorite British couple Joan and Mark. We had the pleasure to be guided by the great James that showed us a lot of animals like lion, elephants, giraffe and many more. The hotels we stayed at both in Moshi and by the safari were amazing and we fully enjoyed them. I have nothing to complain about during the whole vacation, everything went really good from when boarded the plane until when were back home again.

This tour was incredible. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. We hiked to the waterfalls in the morning then made coffee in the village, drink local banana beer. That was the best part of the tour for us. Then we head to the Hotsprings to take a swim after a very long day then end our day by a drive to the airport for a flight to Zanzibar. I highly recommend this tour!

I had only a short time to visit Tanzania, and wanted to climb the great Kilimanjaro for one full day. Nick helped me plan a perfect trip throughout : airport transfer-hotel-day hike and back. He promptly answered all my questions and concerns via Moshi Tours & Transfer website and WhatsApp. The pickup at the airport and the ride to the Kilimanjaro National Park next morning was smooth and friendly. I even learnt a few Swahili words and the stories of tribes/villages around Kilimanjaro...
The hike itself on the Marangu route through the rainforest to the Mandara Hut was amazing with flowers/vegetations, monkey and bird species that I have never seen before... My guide, Ramadan, is experienced and knowledgeable. He timed the hike well, allowed me to go at my own pace and helped me carrying my backpack when things got tough near the end. Finally, we managed to return to the base in time, 15 minutes before the park closing time.
In all, I really had a fun time hiking for one day at Kilimanjaro National Park, thanks to the great service and great help from Nick and Ramadan !
Asante sana rafiki yangu, Nick na Ramadan !

I really enjoyed the tour. The Guild were really nice and explained everything really well. We started with a nice Scenic route up the mountain. Visited a local farm and learned everything about coffee. I made my own coffee from the beans whilst the local people were singing and dancing. Witch was amazing. After this we had a nice hike to the waterfall witch was beautiful. Definitely worth it. The lunch was delicious.

My wife and I had an amazing time on this Kilimanjaro day hike. We were picked up by our driver, Nick, in the morning and transported through Moshi Town and the Chagga Villiage. Nick was very friendly and knowledgeable about the region and pointed out some highlights along the way. At Marangu gate we met our guide Gilbert. After some quick photos and registration we began our hike. Gilbert was fantastic and we felt very safe and comfortable with him as our guide. The hike to the Mandara Huts is easily the most beautiful hike I’ve ever been on. Nothing better than hiking through a lush, green atmosphere! The hike itself is moderate. The last hour of the hike is a bit different but if you’re in decent shape you’ll be fine. I can’t say enough great things about Nick and Gilbert. They’re awesome. We will hopefully return to Tanzania in the future!

Thanks Nick for a great tour. We ground and made our own coffee the way the local do it, before getting to drink it. After hiking up to the waterfront and back we were treated to a tasty lunch. This felt like an authentic experience and contributes to the local people. No pressure. Nothing was rushed. A great day.
