We had such an amazing two week holiday thanks to Chris Japheth and Toto Africa. He put together an itinerary that was exactly what we wanted and ensured we had some truly unforgettable experiences - seeing the Wildebeest crossing the Mara river in the Northern Serengeti, a wonderful picknick in the Serenget near the Kenyan border. A hot air balloon safari, stunning hiking in the Usambara Miuntains and a relaxing end to the holiday on the coast. The guides were wonderful. All in all a great experience. Would definitely recommend booking with Toto Africa.

This was more than me and my friend expected, Actually Toto Africa Adventures made our childhood dream become reality, we had no any experience on African Safaris, so we had to search on different website, and lucky we found this Local Company and the reply was so fast, Mr. Japheth the Company Director was Available and answer all Questions we asked, He was friendly and polite to advise us in many ways.
On the Day we arrived in JRO (Kilimanjaro International Airport) Toto and the whole team took care of us, actually the driver was very kind and fun, which for us was very nice and felt like we are home , the next day our Guide was there for short briefing with printed itinerary which makes us more comfortable.
We booked a Camping and Lodge Safari for our first day was camping inside the Tarangire National Park, the food from the chef was very fantastic and the camping facility was amazing, what I love from This Company is the ability to give us exactly what we were thinking.
Let me give their Credit for the Quality service they provide since the day we arrive to the day we depart, we recommend this Company for anyone wants to try Safaris for affordable rates. Again thank you very much for the love and care.

In this year 2020 taught me a very special thing that we live for a Moment and we do not suppose to take any second for granted, Me and my sisters Decided to do a Safari Especially this Year and we are Lucky we Contacted this Company, it is not the Biggest but it is the Best, Because of their Services, Treatment especially from the Manager, He was Very Happy to see us and he and his team did everything for us to make our Holiday Memorable
As A Traveler i like to work with people who will make me travel with a smile and Toto Africa Adventures make that for Us, The Driver Mr Ben was So Fantastic, He spot Animals so easily with Much Knowledgeable Information, He Cares alot for the Animals and the Environments, The Safari Jeep was super clean, for sure we had Budget Limits but choosing Toto was our Lucky Card.
The Food and Accommodation was Amazing our chef his name was Alli, We had good times with every member of this Group, after the last day of our Safari the next day we had a free time in Moshi so the manger gave us another Activity in the Hot spring with Lunch Box, Local Bear for sure we had alot of Fun

7 day safari. Toto Africa gave us a Driver, not a Guide. Ben Swai could not answer the most basic questions. Very limited information. And the trip became very tense.
Also a number of cancellations and changes we were not informed of in advance. Manager Chris Jespeth will talk a great game and do a poor job. Very disappointing trip/safari for big money. Use another company.

As a company, we take great pride in offering exceptional service, and it's disheartening to hear that despite our best efforts, you felt the need to criticize the experience.
Regarding the issues raised, we would like to address the points raised in your review:
Ben, your driver-guide, is a professional with extensive knowledge of the local area. We understand that you expected a more traditional guide, but Ben was still fully committed to ensuring your safety and comfort throughout the trip. It's unfortunate that you felt he couldn't meet your needs. We also received positive feedback from other members of your group, including Briana, who praised the trip as amazing.
We are surprised by your comments about cancellations and changes, as the only changes made were upgrades to your accommodation to ensure a more comfortable stay, at no extra charge to you. We strive to enhance the experience of our clients wherever possible and believe this upgrade was a positive change that benefited your trip.
We also understand your frustration about the rain, but as you know, the weather is beyond our control. A Hotel manager at Simba Lodge explained this to you, but it seems that you were dissatisfied with this response. Furthermore, all park fees and other trip details were shared with you upfront, yet you still questioned these aspects during your tour. You even made complains about the meal which was a lie as all lodges & hotels provide good and nice food, even sometimes you were asking for left-overs which was bad.
We are saddened to see that despite the hard work of both Ben and our manager, Chris, to accommodate your requests and ensure your satisfaction, you still found negative aspects to focus on. We believe that no matter the level of service provided, some guests may not be easily pleased, and we regret that this was the case for you.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you, and we hope that others who read your review will also consider the positive experiences that many of our clients have had with Toto Africa Adventures.

We booked a 5-day safari tour with Toto and it has been the experience of a lifetime, one of the best travels we ever did. Japheth (the Director) helped us building a customized trip with game drives in the major parks and staying at very nice lodges. He was always very helpful, responsive and willing to answer any question. Our tour guide, Livingstone, has been absolutely fantastic. He was able to spot animals from afar and he made sure we saw all animals from as near as possibile for us to take great pictures. He was also very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting stories about animals, the parks and Tanzania itself. Totally recommended especially if you want to make a custom-made tour and to live an unforgettable experience!

We heard about Toto Africa Adventures from a good friend who had travelled with them recently. As a family of 5, mum dad and three daughters in their 20s, we were not disappointed, and the trip represented good value for money. A great combination of safari camping, cultural experiences and hot spring swimming was wonderfully put together by Japheth, who answered our many questions quickly prior to arrival. Special mention to our safari guide Ben, and also to the wonderful food cooked beautifully. Thank you Japheth, we will be back to conquer kili with you! Do remember to ‘ go with the flow’ as this is an adventure, Toto Africa adventures is thoroughly recommended.

Our safari experience was all that we could have wished . It was relaxed with fabulous close up respectful views of the animals . We were a family of five on a camping safari.. Ben our guide , was a magician in finding the animals and was very easy company .Japheth punctually made our arrangements and Brighton cooked delicious local and European food helped by Inno who taught us Swahili

Our experience with Toto Africa Adventures was brilliant.
The pre-tour communications with Japheth were proactive and informative to enable us to maximise our time in the Ngorongoro Crater and see the best parts of it.
On the trip, Ibrahim and Japheth picked us up on time and did a fantastic job of showing us around the Crater and finding the animals, along with providing a great lunch.
We were very happy with the trip and would travel with Toto Africa again.

I had arranged a transfer and a trip to the hot springs on the way.
Unfortunately I started to feel really unwell and instead of the swimming I had to go into hospital. Japheth stayed at the hospital and helped translate for me, then we drove around searching for more health help and he was so kind and supportive while I really wasn’t well. He even missed eating lunch to get me to the appointment on time.
A very kind man indeed. 😊
