About
We are a locally owned charitable organization based in Moshi Kilimanjaro, serving communities around the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This Organization was derived from the concept of Ecotourism, which promotes a responsible way of visiting natural areas by protecting the environment and improving the well-being of the local people. Our organization initiates and manages sustainable projects. also we organize Kilimanjaro climbs, day tours and safaris for a fair price then the profit gained return to our social projects. Also we organize volunteering activities, feel free to contact us and we will be very happy to answer you on time. Thank you and see you here in Tanzania

Together with our guide Ali we went on a two days hike on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Actually, we did the first two days of the ascend to Kilimanjaro via the Marungu Route. I guess that those two days are the most enjoyable ones of the ascend (except for the summit of course) because you walk through beautiful nature. We started in the rain forrest, stayed a night at Mandara Hut and then headied for Horombo Hut but returned at around 3300 m above sea level. The change of nature on the second day was astonishing. You still start in the forrest but quickly get on the wide planes of Kilimanjaro with bushes, grass and plants. We had wonderful views. I recommend this trip to all who are interested in the green part of nature and who are not obsessed with getting on top of Kili. For us (my nephew and me) it was also an other chance to have nice chats with our guide about live in Tanzanzia and at home.

We had a wonderful time with guide Iddy. We did a 3day safari with him. He was a good guide who also tried to tell us some information about plants and the animals. He was patient and gave us enough time to spot some good animals like cheeta’s and lions. We would 100% recommend this for anyone who comes to Tanzania.

We did a one-day hike on the Marangu route, which is a route that goes through the tropical rain forest that is on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Our guide was Godwin.
The tour was a really nice experience, and Godwin an excellent guide! We learnt a lot about the beautiful forest and its functioning, and about the fauna and flora of Mt Kilimanjaro, it was very interesting. We also had the chance to see a few animals such as blue monkeys, colobus monkeys, mangooses, and tree hyraxes.
The hike was about 3-4 hours going up and 2-3 hours going down, so it was a quite sportive day, but Godwin, the rest of the team and the beautiful landscapes made it so enjoyable!
Thank you again for this amazing experience!

We went on the Materuni Falls, coffee making, and the Kikwuleta hot springs tour. I couldn't believe we got through so much in one day. The tour was also a great cultural experience. Our guide Godwin, was amazing. Having grown up in the area, he was able to offer so much background on his tribe. He also taught us some Chagaa greetings, which we were able to use on our tour walking through villages. Materuni Falls was one of the most beautiful falls we've ever seen and the hike was so peaceful and beautiful. The photos do not do it justice. The lunch was very filling and delicious, as it consisted of traditional Chagga dishes. They also offered vegetarian options, which was really thoughtful. Godwin and our driver were incredibly accommodating, offering to stop the car to take photos any time we wanted. I would highly recommend taking this tour if you're short on time, want to see the best of Moshi and the natural beauty of Tanzania.

We had the luck and pleasure to be in the hands of Elisante and Livingstone organizing our Kilimanjaro climb, hotel and the excursions after the climb.
Both of them are very professional and kind going the extra mile to deliver you an authentic experience and fulfilling your wishes. Livingstone was the perfect guide to take us up ( and down) the mountain adjusting the plan based on our fitness level and wishes. He knows the mountain very well and had a great team of porters and cooks with him. We felt great and had a lot of fun with the whole team.
Elisante has shown us his family background with a home made meal by his mother and a brides history and demonstration of coffee roasting. All this in a beautiful garden with a Kilimanjaro panorama.
They are all environment conscious and support local community.
I highly recommended Tunajali, Elisante and Livingstone for any trips around Kili.

Today i visited an authentic Maasai village. This place is called Kambi Ya Chooka. My translator Hashim did a great job answering all of my questions.
I've always been intrigued by the Maasai and their way of life. It's definitely an experience I won't forget. The first tribe I've ever seen in person. I highly recommend experiencing it!

I was part of a group of 5 friends who climbed the Kilimanjaro Mountain (Machame route) with Tunajali Eco Tours between March 1st and March 6th 2020. Our guide was Livingstone accompanied by his 2 assistants Ally and Vasco.
What can I say other than this adventure is one of the most memorable ones I ever had in my life. Despite the fact that the weather was not always on our side (rain, wind and eventually a snowstorm) this experience has been tremendously fulfilling. Not only the climb is a physical challenge due to the height and effort to walk 6-7 hours per day, but it is also a true mental challenge that requires you to be in constant awareness of your limits to cope with them.
That being said, overcoming both these challenges would not have been possible without the exceptional work of our crew. From setting up the tents to carrying our heavy packs without forgetting the food that was more than enough to reload our batteries, each individual that came with us along the way really contributed to make our journey not only doable but also very pleasant.
The work of our guides was exceptionnal as well, as they were able to bring us to the summit with very low visibility due to an overnight snowstorm, managing our level of energy and teaching us the ways of the mountain along the way (polé polé !). The night of the ascent, they were particularly key to our progress, literally feeding us and making sure we don't get cold when doing breaks as this could have been dangerous for our health. Eventually we really bonded with them and can't dissociate this adventure to their benevolent and joyful presence.
At last, I would also like to thank Elisante, owner of Tunajali Eco Tours, for his dilligence during this trip preparation. He was very much available to answer all our numerous questions and made sure we did not miss anything along the way.
I highly recommend Tunajali Eco Tours for such an experience, as well as Linvingstone, Ally and Vasco for their expertise as high mountain guides
Asante Sana for this memorable experience.
