A dream trip!
It has been two weeks since our family of three returned from Tanzania but the amazing experience we had is still lingering in our minds. Thank you Yahaya for the most wonderful vacation of our life!
We reached out to Yahaya Al Kindi (on a friend's recommendation) in July last year and were in regular touch since then. He customised our itinerary based on the number of days we had and the places we wanted to cover. Always approachable, with a very friendly and warm demeanor, Yahaya was ever willing to answer the very many questions we had and displayed tremendous patience.
Our trip commenced on the 14th of January wherein we landed at Kilimanjaro airport and our exhaustion from the long journey from India vanished the minute we were warmly welcomed at the airport by Yahaya, his lovely wife Happy and our fantastic guide Rama (Ramadan).
We were escorted to the Golf Safari House where we spent our first night in Tanzania and here began our journey to experience the warmth and friendliness of the people of Tanzania.
The next seven days were spent covering Tarangire National Park, Central & Southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, wherein we got to see the Big 5, witnessed two kills, several chases, and also spotted at close quarters - two male lions clashing, pride of lions on trees & boulders, lion cubs, cheetahs with their cubs (the list is endless). The highlight of our trip was the incredible experience of staying in the bush camps amidst the wild.
Our ever punctual guide cum driver, Rama, proved to be extremely knowledgeable and would regale us with stories from his previous safaris and also provide us with lots of information on the birds and animals we sighted. His instincts were so good that we would land up at the right place at the right time. We still don't know how he would manage to drive and at the same time scan the horizon to zero down on a hidden animal.
Our trip ended with Yahaya seeing us off at the airport with a lovely painting as a gift which really touched our hearts.
Yahaya, Happy and Rama .....we are surely coming back and look forward to witness the migration.
If you are planning a holiday to Tanzania... we highly recommend Wild Giant Safaris!!!

The Safari started in Arusha on the Airstrip. I flew out to Serenora in the Serengeti, from there I started my way to Lobo. I stayed at Lobo Wild Life Lodge, which has an amazing view over the Serengeti Nationalpark. From there I did Day Game Drive to serenora and further to the Ngorongoro NP to Tarangere NP. All parks are awesome and definitely recommended!

They surpassed my expectations with everything they did. The had everything lined up from the minute I signed up for the trip. From flight to travel and sleeping arrangements just fantastic.
I saw the big 5 over three days in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. My guide knew all about the trees animals and safari life. He was able to find all the animals in large groups multiple time. I saw more in the two full days than some people saw in the week they were there. I attribute that to my wonderful guide and the great company he works for. This was truly a life changing experience because of my guide and the great accommodation booked for me through Wild Giant Safaris. I can’t wait to do it again with them.

Yahaya is untrustworthy and tried to make us pay more money upon arrival for things that were supposed to be included. I had to pay $215 for entry into Ngorogoro Crater because after sitting at the entrance for over an hour our guide had still not received the permits from Yahaya. He made us pay $15 for a ride to town for dinner which was supposed to be included in our trip. Then he told my friends the lodging wasn't paid for to try and get them to give him more money. The morning we were supposed to leave for the safari we sat with him for an hour while he told us he didn't have the money for our permits and lodging. We paid for everything upfront, but still tried to work out a solution with him and his response was "I have a headache." Yahaya is a bad businessman; do not work with him!

Dear Swelch89,
Could you kindly provide evidence that everything was paid for upfront by your agency because YOU DIDN'T BOOK your safari directly with us but with Authentic Africa Safaris?
Thank you,
Yahaya and the team!

We were three friends spending almost a week seeing the safari parks. Wild Giant Safari has put together for us a pretty incredible itinerary. Our guide was the most patient man, always helping us spot the animals we wanted to see without ever showing signs of frustration. The accomodation that Wild Giant Safaris had organised for us in the Serengeti was perhaps the most spectacular and unique we have ever stayed in - a tent camp with luxurious beds and with the zebras grazing just at our door step (and the lions roaring in the background). Yahaya, the owner, is a genuinely sweet and very helpful and capable guy. I believe his safari company is still quite young but definitely has the potential to grow as more people experience what it has to offer..
