Everyone at Karibu Adventure did a fantastic job from strat to finish to help us reach the summit and have an all around wonderful trip. We book this trip in 2019 and then COVID happened. They were awesome about letting us postponed a year without any additional fees. Our guides August and Marko were funny and very competent, all the rest of the staff made the trip unforgivable. We lacked out had wonderful weather, very cold and wind on the summit. You can't go wrong with Karibu Adventure for your trek.

Karibu Adventure was everything we expected, and more. Nothing but raves for both our successful climb to Uhuru Peak and following five days safaris. We cannot say enough about lead guide Robert, assistant guides Arsenal and Gilbert and their entire teams. We were well fed, our medical conditions closely monitored, and were general attended to at every step. And the guide's depth of knowledge af the flora, fauna, geology and cultural history added depth to an already extraordinarily experience. Robson, our Safari guide, eagerly shared his wealth of knowledge about the captivating parks and the lonely Tanzania in general. We felt that his experience and wisdom provided us with opportunities we may well have otherwise missed. And as a bonus, he could identify every birds we saw. Amazing. The company truck was comfortable and the tent camp accommodation were spectacular. Thank you Karibu Adventure. We couldn't have asked for more.

We chose the 7 days Machame route for our hiking to Mt Kil, We had a private hike and were a group of 13 people ranging in age from 18 through 50. The hotel in Moshi( Keys Hotel) was fabulous. We had real good food loaded with carbs and protein including soup, fresh fruits and veggies with every meal. The porters and cook were such hard workers and attentive to our every need. You can see that they love what they do. They knew how to make things work, from sending our porters super early to sure we got great campsites as well as tents ready for us when we got to Campsite each day. They continuously motivated us when things got hard. On summit day our climb couldn't have been more perfectly timed with the full moon in the west and the deep orange sun breaking through the clouds to the east! We all reached Uhuru peak shortly after the sunrise. I would cherish this for the rest of my life! In Karibu Adventure, I think we found a tour company that was first and foremost concerned about our safety and comfort. I would strong recommend them to anyone who wants to make sure that they summit Mt. Kili safety in a comfortable way.

Karibu Adventure was a recommendation from a friend who had used them a few years ago. From the onset, Frank had kept us at ease in the planning of the trek up Mount Kilimanjaro as well as an added on safari. He answered all our questions and helped keep us informed of all required documentations and other requirements for this trip. He met us at the airport, as planned, and took us to our hotel where we met the guides. They reviewed our gear and did a health check on us to establish a base line for the climb. They picked us up the next day and we started our trek up Mount Kilimanjaro. Frank's crew was excellent! Arsenal and Said did an amazing job of getting us to the Uhuru Peak. I was struggling but they made sure we reached the summit. A special thank you to Arsenal! I could not have done it without their encouragement and help. I have nothing but great accolades for the entire crew. The safari went off without a hitch as well. We got to see the Big 5 and also had a cheetah encounter that was amazing! Walden, our safari guide, did an outstanding job! I would highly recommend Karibu Adventure to anyone and would most certainly use them again. I can't say enough good things about them! Everything went as planned and agreed upon. Thank you Frank and the Karibu crew for making this once in a lifetime trip so amazing!

We had been in contact with Frank almost a year in advance in planning our trip. Although we went with another guide for our Kilimanjaro hike, we went with Karibu for our safari since he put inthe time and effort and we wanted to work with more than one company since everyone was out of work due to the Covid situation. Once we gave him our 50% deposit the total amout was increased over our emailed receipt by $700, as he claimed there had been some unforseen costs. With less than 12 hours from our trips start time we had no choice but to pay an agreed difference. When we got to the first park entrance, remarkably our guide told us that we had to pay the concession fee ($240usd) as he described it as an oversite by the company and the banks were closed for the day, even though we had prepaid for everything including unforseen costs and had an emailed list of what was included. We paid, as we were promised the money back as soon as the banks opened the following day and really had no other choice at that point. After that, Frank became increasing difficult to get in touch with and did not show up on two occasions to refund us our money. Finally, when our driver was dropping us at the airport, Frank found yet another reason not to show up and refund us our promised money. Before we flew we finally received a message asking us to leave a nice review and to keep the guides and their families in mind as we did. At the end of the day, Karibu wasnt cheaper than any other more modernly equipped company, and probably even cost us more with all the additional fees, than the other services we had quotes from (all equally priced).

We real sad for this review, originally you booked Kilimanjaro and Safari with us we gave you a comb price. Once you were here you climbed Kilimanjaro with another company, and changed the original plan camping safari and decide lodge safari, we do possible to contacting the lodge you want and give us the price, while we were together, and give you the price which we were offered from the lodges. Where the cost increasing, you were spend most of the lodges 2 nights, If you staying the lodges which are inside the park some Lodge price do not including the other government fees, I shared to you the lodge cost only. Another cost you want to stayed at crater rim two days, the price was twice compare the normal cost one day in the carter, we were agree while you were there as we know that you will understanding, I wondering to see this review, before we would like to send all the receipt to you to see where the money used for, you were disagree and need the extra money back, we hope you know each and everything.Sorry for had a bad experience with the ending we should meet and talk this.
