About Peak Planet
Peak Planet has been setting the standard for climbing Kilimanjaro since 2008. We hire the best and most experienced Kilimanjaro guides. They are all Wilderness First Responder certified. We staff our climbs with a 1:2 guide to climber ratio. Our guides conduct daily health checks to measure pulse, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation every day. We are members of the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP) – a non-profit organization that monitors Kilimanjaro operators to protect the welfare of porters. We are also a member of Leave No Trace. One of our main goals is to offer a great value for high-quality services. So we evaluate every expense carefully to ensure that every cost we incur makes a tangible difference in your experience. We want to have the best service at a fair price without compromising our high standards.

We did the Kilimanjaro summit via the Machame route in January 2021 during the pandemic. I want to commend and thank Peak Planet and all their staff who more surpassed all our expectations. Our guides Davis and Rebman were fantastic and went beyond the call of duty to get us to Uhuru peak, while taking all the necessary safety measures given the circumstances. The food was awesome. All the porters were great and very helpful. All in all it was a totally awesome experience and would highly recommend Peak Planet.

January 2021 - Summit to Mt. Kilimanjaro with guides from Peak Planet. We took the 8-day Lemosho Route. We took our trip in the middle of the COVID Pandemic. ( Safetly Precautions in Place ) Our support team was very happy to have a group to guide up the mountain. Very safe and the mountain was not busy at all. We consider ourselves lucky to have been able to make the trip. Peak Planet team was highly organized and motivated to help us reach the Summit. Head Guide - Bosco Ass't Guide - Kennedy Cook and 10 porters. Blessed to be able to make the trek with the outstanding team from Peak Planet.

What an experience. Peak Planet out did themselves. My son and I took the Northern Circuit Route during the pandemic. We never had to worry at all. All safety measures were in place. My son and I came to clime Mount Kilimanjaro for our birthdays. I turned 63 on the briefing day, and my son turned 16 on summit day. And yes, Francis our cook had a cake waiting for us after we returned from the summit. Our guides Davis and Rebman were the best. I can't thank them enough. And for the porters, they did everything for us. We will never be able to thank the team enough for everything that they did for us. We met as strangers on day one and left as a family. Thank you again Peak Planet. I only hope I can talk my wife into climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. I want her to experience what everyone is saying about their experience with Peak Planet. Also, the staff at Stella Maris are by far the best people you will meet. You will fall in love with them.

I cannot recommend this company enough! If you're considering climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, please select this company. I did a lot of comparisons between companies to compare what they offered, as well as their ethical approach and they stood out as the company to select. Since selecting, I have not been disappointed. During the pandemic, before our trip, their approach was above and beyond, and when we were still able to do our planned trip, during the trip, they were outstanding. The whole staff (from the main office, to the drivers, to the Stella Maris Moshi Hotel (that is non-profit, to solely fund the adjacent school), to the guides, chef and porters) were excellent. The food was delicious too. I would definitely recommend the 10-day Lemosho route, as it's simply stunning, whilst giving great acclimatization. We summited 02.10.2020 during covid mountain conditions - it was magical, as we practically had the entire mountain, from start to finish, to ourselves. We were made to feel very safe with their procedures and we had a trip of a life time that was out of this world.

My trip with Peak Planet to Kilimanjaro was everything I hoped it would be (I had been waiting to do this trip for years) and was an amazing experience. From the start to the very end everyone was fantastic, helpful, very polite and always happy. Our head and assistant guides were the best of a great crew (Davis Assey and Riebman Francis) and truly made the experience what it was. The food from "Mr Francis" was always great and very surprising how good the food was based on cooking on a mountain. We had a small group due to COVID – but that didn’t stop our team and crew having a fantastic and safe trip. I would highly recommend Peak Planet and this trip to anyone looking to summit Kilimanjaro.
