Kilimanjaro climb - Machame route 7 day

This is one of the best Kilimanjaro climbing because the route you are going to trek through (Machame route) is one of the highest summit success rates given the topography and nature of the route which allows climbers to “trek high & sleep low” hence making it a more favorable route for acclimatization. This route offers some of the most spectacular scenery while on the mountain.

Climb Kilimanjaro, 8 days lemosho route

The Lemosho Route is widely considered to be the best route on Mount Kilimanjaro. Lemosho route is preferred by reputable operators due to its beauty, remoteness and success rate. In short, it maximizes the chances that a climber will reach the summit, and enjoy the experience overall. The Lemosho route can be done in as little as six days (five nights) on the mountain. However, it is ideally tackled over eight days (seven nights) for a better altitude acclimatization schedule. The trek begins at Londorossi Gate, located in the western base of mountain, within its lush, fertile rainforest. The route heads across the Shira Plateau, before circling along the southern circuit halfway around the mountain, exposing the climber to great views from all angles. The approach to the summit is made from the east, and the descent follows the Mweka trail.

A group of 9 friends from Monaco and France booked for Kili Trek Lemosho route with Jiwe Adventures. Communication with Edgar our trip planner was easy as he was patient and responsive in planning our climb. The climb was challenging but with the support of the excellent Jiwe crew made it doable. Our incredible crew were instrumental to our 10% + 10% success; professional guidance, delicious meals, regular health checks, top class equipment and fun company. Thank you for everything Jiwe Adventures.

From Edgar greeting us at the airport, to Moody, Inno and all of the porters and our cook helping us on our 7 day trek up Mount Kilimanjaro we were treated amazingly well. They run a very competent and professional trekking company that supplied us with everything we needed to succeed on our summiting Mount Kilimanjaro traveling the Machame route. Our expectations were regularly exceeded with all aspects of our trip! The food was fantastic, the tents and sleeping bags kept us warm and the charming personalities of the whole team who took much enjoyment in helping us because they clearly love their jobs! This is the only company I would use to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. We stayed another 5 days and Kili Heroes took us on a safari which was amazing also! Kent, our driver and guide has enormous knowledge of African wildlife and all of the 4 parks we attended. The accommodations Jiwe adventures arranged for us during the entire trip were great in every way and made our trip that much more special. Thanks Edgar, Moody, Inno, and Kent for making a trip I had been thinking of for many years better than I could have imagined! We will be back for Mount Meru!

I cannot say enough positive things about Edgar and JIWE adventures! I climbed Kilimanjaro in February with a group of friends and then did a 5 day safari afterwards. The owner, Edgar, was attentive, knowledgeable, and could not be more kind. He responded to my multiple emails/questions in a timely manner leading up to our trip, and was available at all times throughout our stay in Tanzania to make sure our experience was the best it could be. His guides (Inno, Moody, and Eric) are professional, funny, supportive, and highly competent at their job. We truly could not have summited without them. The food was delicious and healthy (thanks to our fantastic chef, Godson)- I have never tasted better avocado, mango, or pineapple in my life! We had health checks every evening to make sure all were safe, and although no one in my group needed it, they had oxygen available in case any emergency were to arise which was very comforting to me. The porters were strong, entertaining, and loved their job. They sang and danced with us in the evenings and truly added to our experience. The safari was excellent as well. Our guide (Deo) was extremely knowledgeable as well and knew the name of every bird, tree, or plant we asked about, and he had the most impressive eye for spotting animals in the tall grass. The price was very reasonable and the service could not have been better. This was by far the most life changing/incredible trip I have ever taken, and I cannot recommend JIWE adventures enough if you are looking to go. 10/10 recommend and forever grateful for this experience!

Since you are reading this, you have already decided to climb Kilimanjaro. Great decision! I cannot recommend Jiwe Adventures highly enough for your outing. I did a tremendous amount of research before our climb and am thrilled that we ended up with Jiwe. The owner Edgar is responsive, professional, knowledgable, and extremely kind. He adheres to all of the standards you are looking for in a company - his porters are paid and treated fairly (he started out as a porter himself). His guides (Moody, Eric, and Inno) are bright, knowledgable, encouraging, funny, kind, and highly competent. The food was fantastic (Thank you, Godson!), delicious, healthy, and plentiful. Safety standards were clearly met - we were assessed continually and by pulse oximeter and a questionnaire each evening. The porters were attentive, strong, entertaining, encouraging, supportive, and unfailingly kind. The price was very reasonable and the service was top notch. Climbing Kilimanjaro is a tremendous experience and we all found it to be great fun. I can't imagine a better company. We are forever grateful.

We did Mount Meru 4 day route with Jiwe Adventures and it was a great experience. Communication with Edgar was a breeze and everything was as promised.Excellent and organized. Very polite. The food was very good and a lot. All the people on the trek were amazing. The hiking was beautiful, challenging but not overwhelming. Everyone in our group was able to summit because of the guiding, leadership and support of all the team. The guides, assistant guides, chef, and porters are excellent. Very professional and helpful. We choose Jiwe Adventures because of its reputation for safety and success. The only way to see the real Tanzania is with Jiwe Adventurs. Their first priority is that you have the trip of your lifetime. They have a wonderful staff of friendly and helpful locals. The food is amazing. The guides are simply the best of the best. Regan and John are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly for Mount Meru.” The guide, cook and the entire crew were a great company throughout the climb. I recommend Jiwe Adventures for anyone planning to mount Meru.
