It was a very good decision to choose Monkey. We always got quick answers to our questions. They were very flexible and helpful during the planning process and on the tour too. The ranger was very professional and funny, well knowledgeable about wildlife. We saw everything (lions, rino, hippo, elephants, giraffe). So we were in safe hands.

Climbing Kilimanjaro for my 40th birthday with Monkey Adventures was an experience of a lifetime! From the moment I initially reached out to them, throughout the entire planning process, through to the wrap up/feedback meeting, the team at Monkey Adventures was extremely communicative, efficient in answering my many questions, and made me feel very comfortable with both the planning process and during the entire trek - especially as I was trekking solo! In choosing my route, Monkey Adventures was helpful in explaining the many options, associated costs, and key benefits. This route was an excellent choice for me, as I am not the most experienced climber, and it provided the best acclimatization. Although I wanted to join a group, there were no other bookings during my intended dates, so I ended up solo, with my guide, 5 porters and our cook. Monkey Adventures was kind enough in this case to still offer me the group pricing, rather than the much more expensive solo cost! I choose the 'comfort package' which includes a private tent, private portable toilet, airport transfers and local hotel bookings, which made planning that much simpler for me. Additionally, as many countries require multiple forms of negative covid tests for travel, Monkey was even able to recommend where to get local tests, and timing for them. If you are able to choose a guide, I highly recommend Tom! From initial briefing, to helping pick up my rental gear (which Monkey will assist you with and help facilitate a dis count from their preferred supplier), to every difficult moment during the climb, Tom was extremely patient, funny, kind and just a lot of fun to be around! He checked in every day on my health and how I was feeling, made sure I was eating enough, resting well between climbs, and drinking plenty of water! He managed the team of porters and our cook very well, and helped me with every small and large need throughout the duration of the climb. It was an amazing experience to spend so much time with Tom, getting to know him, and being able to learn so much about local culture and the mountain from him! Overall, the equipment and gear provided by them was in great condition, although my tent did leak a bit during the trek, as it rained every single day, and it was a challenge to keep everything warm and dry. The team was well aware of this, and made every effort to minimize the leaking, and even helped to dry some of the clothing over the cooking fire while at camp. Speaking of cooking, the amount of food they cook and provide to you is not only substantial, but very delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety, presentation and taste, as well as the ability to accommodate my upset stomach - a common side effect of higher altitudes! Each meal was unique, and although I brought my own snacks just in case, I really didn't end up eating much of them, as the meals and snacks provided by Monkey Adventures were MORE than enough! I highly recommend Monkey Adventures for planning your Kilimanjaro climb. They are a super kind and organized team, extremely flexible in the planning process, with many options to choose from and customize to your liking.

Overall excellent experience. Whole crew was helpful and attentive. My guide, Godlisten, and porter Paul, were especially helpful and went out of their ways to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. The food was also plentiful and tasty - provided plenty of energy for the trip. It is nice that the price is still quite reasonable when traveling alone - felt like a very personalized experience.

Climbing Kilimanjaro was always a dream and doing it while turning 30 was a bucket list dream. Monkey adventures did a fantastic job helping me plan this trip right from the start of booking it online till the end. From the continuous email assurances, multiple payment options, excellent equipment, wonderfully friendly guides and porters... to the shoulder support I needed while heading back from the summit, these guys did and excellent job and left me with memories that I will cherish forever! I highly recommend Monkey Adventures for anyone like me traveling solo or even a small/big group. PS. They also sang a birthday song for me and helped arrange a bottle of wine for the summit celebration!! Asante Sana!!

My wife and I did the 7 day lemosho trek this week. The guides were amazing and supported us very well. All the meals were huge with lots of fruit and vegetables. Our waiter was great and made sure we had coffee in the tent each am, lots of food to eat, snacks and tea at the end of the day and helped with out packs when we came in. The route is challenging but with the guides advice and support we did it
