I climbed Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route with Aloyce and his crew at African Love Birds Adventure. The service was professional and friendly and the price was very reasonable for a solo climber compared to other quotes I received for similar service packages. Since it was the rainy season, the downside was that the weather was subpar most days, however we encountered very few other climbers along the way, making for a quiet, peaceful journey. The hotel I stayed at before and after the climb was clean and had all the basic amenities. The cook and porters were very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed at the campsites. I would highly recommend booking with African Love Birds Adventure if you are looking for a challenging adventure that supports a locally owned and operated tourism business.

About 30 of us had decided to have a sort of reunion while trekking to Kilimanjaro. Our lead organizer had selected African Love Birds after evaluating several other options. Our experience was very good. ALB provides lot of staffing to make sure that everyone is taken care of and can accommodate last minute changes. For instance, 4 of us decided to summit earlier than the rest of the group. ALB was able to provide this small team with appropriate porters, guides, etc. without any problems. ALB folks are very cheerful and they provide lots of encouragement -- without which several of our team members would not have been able to summit. Portable toilets were clean. All in all, a pretty good experience for my first high altitude summit.

We did a 8-day Machame route to Mt Kilimanjaro in July 2023 with African Love Birds Adventure, in a group of about 30. It was a great experience. The team of guides porters and cooks was just superb, very helpful and courteous. The guides nudged, supported and encouraged in right measure and many of us felt we couldn’t have made it without their help. If you are considering doing the Kilimanjaro trek, don’t hesitate to go with ALB.

We did the 8 day machame route. We were 29 of us, but African love birds handled us very smoothly. The arrangements for stay and food were very good. Our guides were experienced, my guide Juma was doing his 50th summit and he was excellent.

It was great weather and beautiful views throughout. The guides, and staff of African Lovebirds were exceptional, attentive and really made it possible for all of us to summit. Special thanks to Doula (for helping me) and Gabriel who was our main guide.

My partner and I climbed (and summited) the Lemosho Route of Mount Kilimanjaro in January of 2015. We were guided by Peter Kinyaiya and Aloyce Tarimo of African Love Birds Adventure. We were able to complete a 7 day route in only 6 days. It was such a wonderful experience from the very beginning to the very end. Aloyce is clearly a very experienced professional, and his number one concern was our health, safety, and enjoyment. He was also completely supportive and I would not have made it up the mountain on summit night without his guidance and encouragement. Our porters and cooks were enjoyable and lovely people, who always had our tents and meals ready prior to our arrival. I felt like we were one big team. On summit night, I had a moment of panic, and Aloyce quickly solved the problem and knew how to get me back on track quickly, safely, and efficiently. I trust these guides entirely. Jambo Bwana!

My Girlfriend and I booked African love birds Adventures to climb Mountain Kilimanjaro via the Machame route and it was an absolutely unique and unforgettable experience!
A part from the Mountain it self which is truly amazing the team from African love birds Adventures made the experience so much more pleasant! The food was delicious, it was so much we could never finish it,our 2 tour guides Agust and John had a lot of experience and were fun to hang around with, same goes for the waiter Baraka and all the strong porters that helped us to ascent this beast..
The summit day really is a challenge in itself, but the team of African love birds Adventures helped my Girlfriend and me to both arrive safely to the top.
We will most definitely (and already have) recommend this Tour Company to all our friends and Family,and will choose them again, when we come back one day with our kids (in a few years)

A group of 9 people traveled from UK, India, and Australia to trek the Lemosho route to the top of Kilimanjaro over 8 days with African Love Birds Adventures.
Aloyce and his team were fantastic in organizing the entire trip. Airport transfers were complex due to different arrival times. They were seamless. We stayed in Panama Garden Resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beer cold and the meals fresh.
The trek itself was fantastic. The guides, August, Gilbert, John, Doola, and Frank were excellent. Patient, knowledgeable encouraging and helpful. They were the reason we succesfully summitted Killi.
The food, level of hygiene on the trek, the tents, sleeping gear were all excellent quality.
We would highly recommend this company.

We recently used ALBA to organize our Tanzanian adventure. Aloyce, the owner, was very responsive in his communication and made the planning of the trip easy. We started with the Kilimanjaro climb via the Lemosho route- our guide was Gabriel and the assistant guide was Dula. We were so pleased with them- they were very experienced and capable. Our chef Edward did an awesome job of keeping us well fed, and our waiter Nasoro was a delight. All of the porters werefriendly and their hard work so appreciated. Due to their efforts, we were all able to summit. We then did a 5 day safari- Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti. Our guide Philip was fantastic as well. The accomodations arranged were well chosen. Finally, Aloyce arranged a 3 day bike trip with Kili Bike Adventures- that was a great time as well. Thank you Aloyce for helping to make our journey a success!

My friends and I we climbed mount kilimanjaro and safari with African Love Birds Adventure. I was very happy with their service and i got quick replies to my emails with plenty of information and nice itinerary was made and adjusted according to our wishes. Although both safari and kilimanjaro costs a lot of money i really feel that we got value of money. We climbed 5 days marangu route the team was friendly, charming and happy all the time and they help us to carry our stuff during the climb, the guides was extremely professional in flora and fauna also they make sure we are safety us a priority every day after the climb they were checked (medical checkup ) after dinner and breakfast to make sure we are well on the mountain. Our shef he was prepared delicious food and our dietary restrictions were beautiful met,more than once my special dishes caught the envy of my travel mates . after kilimanjaro we did five days camping safari in Tarangire,manyara,serengeti and ngorongoro crater the vehicle were comfortable and well maintained and the driver paul was very good who game spotting skills are unsurpassed, was very knowledgeable and in no hurry to rush around, he gave plenty of time for us to enjoy wildlife in the parks. We had a truly unforgettable holiday and i would recommend African Love Birds Adventure to everyone.
