Choose Pamoja Kilimanjaro is the best choice I've done for my Tanzania experience. Richard is patient and clarify all my questions before the trip. When I arrive Tanzania and Richard picks me on time, so does the following trips, all guides and team follows the time and I'm really happy about it. My Mt. Kilimanjaro experience totally suprised me in a good way, my guide August is experienced, and do medical check for me everyday to understand my body status and encourage me when I feel uncomfortable. The private toilet also exceed my expectation, I couldn't go back to public toilet when I tried it, it's so clean and comfortable, and I can make my movement without any stress of dirty and bad smell. The food is also tasty, I like the soup a lot, thanks my cook, Martin! On the summit day, August and Kassim accompany me to the summit and helped me keep balance while I have some issue with it (in high elevation), really appreciate it. I had a really good memory with the team: August, Martin, Kassim, Nick, Justin, Joseph, Simba, Nick. I thank you all to make my dream come true.
After the Mt. Kilimanjaro, I attend the joint safari for 3 days. My guide, Melissa is well knowledge and friendly. "Sharing is caring", as he said, the team share everything (e.g., binoculars) to make sure everyone can see the animals with enough time. The lodge is also very comfortable, though we have some power issue on the 2nd day, because the whole area is power off. The lodge start the emergency power generator soon so we can have light and fan again. I saw all the big 5 in three days, which make me think I'm very lucky. After I complete the safari, Richard picked me on time from Arusha back to Moshi, the next day to the airport in the early morning as well.
I want to say thank you again to Richard, I couldn't have a better memory without you. I would totally recommend Pamoja Kilimanjaro and safari to everyone who want to have a wonderful memory in Tanzania.

Pamoja Kili and Safaris overall provided a very good hiking and safari experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning to do either the hike or safari.
Ours was a large group with 20 hikers and that meant a support crew of 105 people. Richard and his team managed the trip very well even for such a large group. Starting from the pickup at the airport to dropping us off back to the airport after the end of our trip was done in a smooth friendly manner. All the guides and porters that supported us during the hike were very knowledgeable, friendly and very supportive. They kept checking with us all through the hike to make sure everyone was doing fine. The food served during the hike was amazing and they did check everyone's vitals each evening. They also provided additional snacks for mid-hike snacking every day. The toilets were maintained well and cleaned periodically. They paced the hike so that everyone was comfortable. The only disappointment we had was the "celebration lunch" after we completed the hike. It was a big let down with just one type of banana stew. Looks like there was some miscommunication or misunderstanding by the chefs. When Richard was made aware of this, he apologized profusely and made it up by organizing a celebration dance event by hiring a group to perform in the evening at our hotel.
They helped us beyond just the hike. They made us feel like their guests by taking us to good restaurants for dinner and making sure there was someone from their team always with us, whether we went for shopping or drinks or food.
Richard personally joined most part of the hike and ensured everything was going smoothly.
After the hike some of us went on the safari. The safari jeeps were clean and well maintained. The guides/drivers (Joshua/ Denise) were very knowledgeable and friendly. They would answer all the questions we had and provide lot of information on their own as well about animals, people the area we were visiting etc.. They were very professional and punctual.
The places they had booked for our stay during the safari were awesome.
Overall a very positive experience and I highly recommend Pamoja Kili safaris to anyone considering Kilimanjaro hike and safari.

I definitely recommend Pamoja Kilimanjaro & Safaris for the best experience during Climbing Kilimanjaro as well as Safaris.
I can't thank you enough, dear Pamoja Kilimanjaro & Safaris, for all that you did for us. We were feeling so safe with you during all the way.
For me the most precious time during our trip was the time spent with all of you during our path to the peak.
I'll never forget how you were singing during the summit night to give us more energy and power to continue till the end. And I will never forget how careful you were with each of us, to be sure that we will reach the peak in the most safest way.
As you said, we came as clients, but we left as friends!
I left a part of my heart in Tanzania thanks to you !

I spent two weeks in Tanzania with pamoja Kilimanjaro, and the trip is so unforgettable. I fully recommend this company to anyone who wants to go solo trips with safety. This was an incredible experience! :) thank you Richard for planning this wonderful itinerary.
During climbing Kilimanjaro, the crew took care of me so much. They’re friendly and so strong. Thanks Waziri keep singing during the summit night to encourage me and help me to carry my daypack. Also thanks the porters who picked me up from the way going back to campsite after summit. I can’t reach the peak without each one of them, including the guide, chef, porters… and I really appreciate the private toilet.
I also enjoyed 8days camping safaris. The guide Joshua is well knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the behaviours of animals so clearly.
Thanks him for driving me all over the park to search for my favourite animal. And every meals that the chef Goddy cooked are delicious. I highly recommend visit the hazabe and dotaga tribe which are totally different cultures and living style.
The day trip of visit waterfall and traditional coffee making is awesome too. The local lunch is so delicious. The guide Buzinza is so patient and introduced the process of making coffee in a interesting way. He is good at taking videos too.
Overall it is a great experience for me and I will go back again next time! Asante sana!

Myself and my friend were fresh off of Climbing Kilimanjaro when we met Richard and he gave us the most awesome tour to the Chemka Hot Springs. He was honest, upfront and willing to work with us to get the best possible tour.
When I enquired with other companies, the same product was being offered for a substantial amount more money.
We had such a good experience that we decided to call him again 2 days later to take us to the Materuni Waterfall. He became like our personal driver - he was professional and informative. Once again, also willing to work with us on price.
If you have time in Moshi, please contact Richard and go on a tour with him. He is fantastic and will ensure you have a great time!

We group of 20 successfully completed Machame Route,7 Days on September,2023. Every support staff member was professional and extremely supportive. Our guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. Our team of 100 crews did everything to provide us with a memorable experience and achieving our goal of summiting with all the 20 members. We could not have achieved our goal without this fantastic team and their meticulous planning.
We selected Pamoja Kilimanjaro & Safaris after negotiating with diferent safari companies. Pamoja is very reliable and reasonable in pricing. Simply Pamoja is exceptional!

We had really good experience in Tanzania with the team Pamoja. We joined their 7 days Lemosho route tour to the Mount Kilimanjaro and also 3 days for Safari. Their trekking team is very professional and helpful. The guides were highly experienced and we felt so reassured to follow their steps and advices. They also took good care of us, even my wife got sick on the mountain, they knew how to make her feel better and summit to the top. The porters were very strong and helpful. We enjoyed a memorable trip with their help. I really recommand the Pamoja as your guide to summit the Kilimanjaro because they have experience in tailor making the trip for you. Also, they are good English speakers. If you have any problems, you can feel free to ask them and they are willing to give their helping hands.
For the Safari trip, we have seen many different types of animals with detail explanations from the guide. However after the three days trip, we think 3 days are not enough for Safari. We will come back again for our next holiday.

My partner and I just got back from an amazing safari with Pamoja Kilimanjaro and Safari Company, and I have to say, it was one of the best trips I've ever been on! Everything was so well-organized, and the whole experience was unforgettable.
Our guide, Joshua, was fantastic. His knowledge about the wildlife and plants blew us away. He could name every animal and bird we saw and had tons of cool facts to share about them. You could tell he really loves what he does, and it made the trip even more special. He also made sure we were always comfortable and happy, and he went out of his way to make sure we had the best experience possible-whether it was stopping at sights along the way, getting us to the perfect spot for photos or stopping for coffee for the long road ahead.
I would also say the lodging was amazing. We stayed at the Moyo in the heart of the Serengeti and Ang'ata in Ngorongoro tent lodges. It was so cool hearing the animals (e.g., lions, Buffalo) outside our tent. The tents were top tier, the food was on point, ans the service staff were so welcoming and accomodating.
If you’re thinking about doing a safari, I can’t recommend Pamoja Kilimanjaro and Safari Company enough, especially with Joshua as your guide. It was an incredible adventure that I’ll remember forever. Thanks, Joshua, for making it such a memborable experience!

We did Kilimanjaro hike as well as Safari with Pamoja's team. Overall trip during the hike and safari was amazing and they crew went of the way for us to have a great experience. Our group consist of 20 people and we all were able to successful summit which is amazing (thanks to the guide/crew for the Pole Pole approach). I was very impressed with crews humbleness and willingness to help all along the way but I felt Richard being a owner/tour operator did fairly poor job for pre/post hike and safari which is as follows
Beside this our experience for pre-hike and host hike was quite unpleasant and the same applied for Safari experience. After the hike, our post hike lunch feast, which included bare any food to eat and we ended up going to hotel and ordering food. Most important we wasted several hours instead of enjoying our time in Moshi.
Our plan for safari was communicated after 10pm to leave for tomorrow 7am which was very poor. We requested few additional rooms during our safari, which was not provided.
We came back from Safari after 6-7 hours of drive, we unloaded all all belonging during the rain in the hotel, we been told that our hotel reservation was not there and needed to move another hotel. This created a stressful at 9pm whereas some of us has to leave by 6am. These are sign of poor communication and not able to provide a basic service from planning/communication standpoint.
I have forgotten a package in the JEEP, it took me to remind them 4-5 times before they redeliver my package and very poor communication.
Although, I really like my trip with Richard and crew but all cumulative errors made the experience with this group pretty unpleasant feeling at the end! I hope that they really take this honest feedback seriously and provide better service for future customers. Thank you

We are so sorry for all the shortcoming that happened during the tour. As we met you before your departure and apologized some mistakes were done by myself and my office staff by forgetting to shift your luggage to another hotel and I did not tell the safari driver know that we had changed the hotel on the last day but due to the safari hotel it was already booked as you requested and for the changes you requested while you were here I told you it would be difficult to get because it was high season and the hotels were full booked and unlikely we did not get what you wanted.
Honestly I was real disappointed with my team for failing to prepare a full lunch as we always do and gave you only local lunch (Banana stew) on the last day when you descended from the mountain and this did apologize in front of the group of 20 clients and you were one them.
Please note that Pamoja team has learned a lot and got big experience to handle more that 20 clients at a time and we assure you to provide better service for our future customers. Thank you and stay happy.

Excellent Kilimanjaro tour. Richard is really helpful for all the preparations and organization before the trekking. During the hike, all the guide, cook and porters are really friendly and supportive.
Safety is the top priority, the guide will check up on our body situation all the time. if we are okay, they will always support and encourage us to the summit.
Also they got safari trip.
