We couldn't be happier with our decision to have Eco-Africaclimbing organize a customized 7 day Lemonsho trek and a 4 day safari trip for us. Lemosho 7 days-Mount Kilimanjaro has been a dream for us. The incredible team at Eco-Africa made it possible for us to summit while having a good time on the mountain. Our guide (Israel) and assistant guide (Ekenney) were knowledgeable and taught us so much (not only about Kili but also Tanzanian culture). They kept us at a great pace to conserve our energy. On summit day, our team went “pole pole” with short breaks and we all made it to the summit faster than other teams who went fast but took many long breaks in the cold. Ekenney even carried my pack when I got too tired. Our chef (King) kept us so well fed the entire time, I had brought a bunch of snacks from home that we didn’t end up eating. Our porters were the superheroes who carried all our gear and set up our tents and all seemed to be having a good time while doing it (we heard constant laughter from the porter tent). It was important for us to climb with a responsible company and we learned from our guide that Eco-Africa had a gear check with all our porters to ensure everyone had adequate warm gear. 4 days safari: Serengeti -> Ngorongoro Crater -> Tarangire After our Kili trek, Eco-Africa also organized our safari adventure. Josephat was our guide who knew tons about all the animals and always found us incredible spots for photo ops. On the second day, Josephat suggested for us to drive all the way up to the northern border, this wasn't in the original itinerary but we're so glad we listened to him. We got to witness the great wildebeest migration across the Mara river thanks to his patience and knowledge of migration patterns. We also got to see the big five of Africa and so many other animals. The lodges that Eco-Africa organized for us were so lovely- we wish we could have stayed longer. The safari vehicle had a mini fridge with cold drinks which was a huge bonus during the hot safari sun waiting for animals. Overall I'd highly recommend Eco-AfricaClimbing for your Tanzanian adventures - Fredrick and Cedric will definitely take care of you!

If you are looking to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro I definitely recommend climbing with Eco-Africa. Kili had always been on my bucket list and Eco-Africa helped make that dream come true. We chose to do the 7-day Lemosho Trek and the experience truly exceeded expectations. From the time we arrived in Moshi until the day we left Eco-Africa made sure we were taken care of, even showing us around Moshi and eating at local spots. On the trek, the guides, chef & porters were all fantastic. Every meal was delicious (you will not be left hungry) and the chef even surprised my buddy with a cake on his birthday. Overall it was an unforgettable experience working with Frederick & the Eco Africa team. I highly recommend and look forward to reconnecting one day in the future.

Eco Africa climbing is a small Tanzanian company owned by two entrepreneur brothers: Fredrick and Sedrik. They try to promote an ethical way of climbing mount Kilimadjaro, with respect to the team of porters accompanying travelers. The accommodation, as well as the food, were excellent; and the portable toilets carried by one of the porters were a very pleasant surprise. The team of porters were very nice and very supportive when the first signs of altitude sickness started to show, and I made it to the summit thanks to them. The porters, or Kili-fighters as they are called, have the tough task of carrying all the necessary food and equipment for the journey to the summit, as well as setting up camp for the travelers. The price of the expedition is indicative of how many porters there will be, and thus how much weight they will carry. I have witnessed some porters working under terrible conditions, some of them didn’t even have proper hiking shoes. This made me realized how important it was to contract an ethical company for such a trip, where the porters are properly fed, equipped, and not overloaded with equipment.

We are incredibly proud of Eco-Africa Climbing and how they brought our dreams of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to life. We brought a group of 12 climbers to Tanzania and once we got there, they took charge of ensuring that everyone was well informed and prepared for the 7-day adventure. The guides, Kilifighters (including a woman) and chefs were all integral to the success of our climb and our team will be using Eco-Africa Climbing for all our future climbing expeditions in Tanzania. You're in good hands with them! We give them the maximum rating and then some more!
