We stopped here on our way through Mossel Bay. What a little gem. For R50 we climbed the lighthouse and enjoyed a drink of our choice (coffee, cold soft drink or beer). The staff is very friendly. Great photo opportunity and amazing views! Definitely recommend to put on your list to do.

Good walk on a clear day up to the lighthouse. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Walk up to the cave and read about the history of the first cave dwellers and then walk up to the lighthouse. Stunning views of the city and the ocean. Worth the effort.

Extremely rude! Went there to check the place out in the morning to go for a evening dinner, rude hostess greeting us with the:”This is not a lookout place, eat or leave…”

How can you be in the hospitality business when you are everything but hospitality! 1/10

This made us not going back!

For a pleasant experience, rather go to Jack’s Bagels! Awesome place, really tasty food and FRIENDLY STAFF!!!! 10/10 would recommend! And if you want a beautiful view, walk the St Blaize Trail, you will have the same or even more beautiful view with the light house in the view.

A short and easy trail with a beautiful view of the coast, but that’s where it stops. The path is full of rubbish and the cave at the start of the path isn’t looked after at all.

There is clearly people sleeping there as evidence of fires and markings on the wall is ruining an important peace of history. It’s sad to see this happening.

Amazing! We stayed at the B&B and had breakfast on the deck. Marius and Melanie were fabulous hosts, the breakfast was delicious, (bacon, local sausage, egg etc) or a selection of pastries, a perfect coffee(nut milks available) and a view to match no other... even the dolphins showed up to say goodmorning while someone shot down the zip line in front of us!!!

Highly recommended.

I was hoping for so much more but there wasn't much to see here. You can't get close to the lighthouse and the hike up seemed dull and in some places a little slippery (rocks were worn). You can catch a few good views on a clear day. Doubt I would add this to the must do list.

Disclaimer: I love lighthouses. I collect lighthouse magnets. If it's a lighthouse, I'm bound to be biased. I love the connection of the land and sea, the beacon of light to provide safe voyage to seafaring types and of course, the views. While this lighthouse isn't very big, it's still a fun exploration. Not all lighthouses are open for touring and this one is open all the way to the light and the railing outside. You get a good birds-eye view and a true appreciation for the elements with the wind howling around you. The lighthouse keeper let me explore on my own and his advice was to "kick the door" to get it to open if you want to go outside. That's a first! Worth taking a step outside to get a full appreciation of this lighthouse. Just be careful!

We drove up and it was quite easy to reach, although parking is precarious. From the lighthouse the views of the surrounds are stunning. Well worth a visit. It is free, but to climb the tower costs R16.

We just walked on the beginning of the trail up to the lighthouse. The lighthouse is not open to the public, but it's worth the visit because of the wonderful views.
