Awful booking service and attitude at reservations. I've been trying to book for our 30th wedding anniversary for the past 3 days. The first time I tried to confirm a booking after being offered two options I was told that was not actually available. I was offered an alternative, at a 50% price upgrade. I then tried to book that, only to be informed that, that is also not available and offered something else altogether which had never been part of my enquiry. I thought I would make a phone call rather than keep going backward and forward via e-mail. I was told that the first offer didn't make sense as that section of Botlierskop isn't even operational at present.. The second option was now booked out, and that it was my fault for not booking quickly enough and if I didn't book option 3 now I would miss that also. Absolute arrogant and unhelpful attitude all round. Perhaps the place itself is lovely, it came highly recommended from friends who go regularly, but I'll never get to find out as I certainly won't be repeating this unpleasant experience.

I would like to say that I had a great trip. I got to see a whole variety of animals. My tour guide was very knowledgeable about them, and knew where to find them in the reserve.

Another stunning weekender right in our backyard! We've stayed at the Botlierskop Tented Camp twice before, and thoroughly enjoyed that. For more space , the Bush Villas is a treat. Situated right ob the water where hippos float and buffalo come to drink, you almost don't need a game drive. The villa is beautifully designed and decorated, included everything you might need. Just bring your dinner and sit back o the swing outside, watch the sun set and giraffe prance by.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Premier hospitality and game viewing in a beautiful setting where you can indulge in a variety of activities or lounge around as the abundant bird-life keeps you company. The staff are beyond friendly, attentive and accommodating with smiles aplenty. The food is surprisingly good, with enough variety and generous portions. We were in a luxury tent with all the regular amenities including electric blanket and more than enough coffee and rusks for your early morning riser who wants to watch the park come alive as birds start singing and the wild game mozy past your deck.

We had a half day trip booked at The Reserve as part of a 4 day garden route tour. We arrived fairly early to enjoy breakfast before the game drive. My first reaction when we walked in was WOW what an amazing place. The staff were very friendly and showed us to our tables, the choice for breakfast was extensive and you could also order fresh cooked breakfast items. We were then shown to our safari lorry, the guide was very informative but we were very disappointed by the amount of animals we saw. Only one Rhino, 3 lions, 3 elephants and a few Giraffe. Would like to stay at the resort but wouldnt do the safai again
