We had arranged a 6-day tour through Rwanda's south and west with BTG. It was like a firework of new experiences. The BTG team takes care of practically everything from the first hotel pick up to the drop off at the airport: inbetween there are alle sorts of transfers, tickets, tours, and above all excellent time keeping. So even with a tight daily program there is no need for hectic. On the contrary: relaxing has never been easier.
The tours: We booked activities in Nyanza (king's palace), Nyungwe (canope walk), lake kivu (night fishing, hiking on the congo nile trail) and at the twin lakes in musanze (volcanoe hill walk, bike tour, boat & island tour). All of them were so rich in impressions that one would have to spend the same amount of time again in order to adequately "digest" the many cultural and natural experiences. The program was well designed: Mostly activities in the rain-free morning, then lunch in local restaurants. Later we went to the next accommodation and chilled by the lake, the mountain or the fireplace.
The team: super attentive, tireless, very committed and creative. Even spontaneous ideas, like buying coffee or sugar cane from the producer, were taken up and implemented swiftly. Local guides accompany all tours knowledgeable about the place.
Transfers: great driver. From traffic jam in Kigali to offroad everything mastered with bravura, calm and the necessary composure. The Landrover weakens noticeably on steep climbs, but is in the best company of all other Landrovers and trucks in the country. On the other hand, the 1000 picturesque Rwandan hills eventually bring all hikers and cyclists to their limits anyway. Inexperienced outdoor enthusiasts should therefore definitely seek BTG's advice.
In short: anytime again. I am looking forward to your next trip to and through Rwanda.
