I did the 2 day Congo-Nile-Trail from Gisenyi to Kibuye with a guide. I organised everything with Francis only a few days ahead via Mail/WhatsApp. Organisation was perfect (delivered the bike the evening before the start to the guesthouse) and my guide (Cesar) was really friendly and helpful during the whole trip. The bike was better than expected (Scott-Fully with Fox suspension) and Kinunu Lodge (overnight stay) was also great. Concerning the payment options mentioned in other reviews: Yes, of course it would be great to pay with a credit card, but I think the problem lies also with the Rwandan banks. I'm not sure if banknotes more than 5.000 RWF don't exist but the ATMs only give you 5.000 RWF bills. This is EXTREMLY inconvenient if you have to withdraw larger amounts (like 170 € or 200 USD) because the bills don't even fit in your wallet anymore. The mentioned restrictions for withdrawals/amount per day are also a joke. But that is not the fault of the company.

Very good communication, very kind and helpful. The chain of one of the bikes broke, we called Francis and they brought another bike by motorcycle, thanks again Francis! Kind regards from Belgium

Hiking the Congo Nile Trail from Gisenyi to Kibuye was definetly my highlight of Rwanda and one of the most amazing things I experienced so far. The landscape and nature at Lake Kivu is simply beautiful and Fred taught me a lot about culture, agriculture and politics in his country. We had really nice conversations during these four days and hiked paths off the main trails. I totally recommend doing the Congo Nile Trail with a local as it is a different and more valuable experience than going by yourselves. Fred and Francis are very nice people, always trying to help, and I'll definitely come back to see them again. All the best to you guys!

We did a one day biking trip on the Congo-Nile trail, and really enjoyed it. We booked it very last-minute, but everything was arranged perfectly. Francis and two of his friends picked us up from the hotel in Rubuna, we cycled for about 4 hours to Nkora where we were picked up by a boat that brought us back. We were in doubt if we wanted a guide, but very happy we chose this option. Thanks!

To go on the Congo Nile Trail from Gisenyi to Kibuye by bike we rented the mountain bikes for the two day trip from Go Gisenyi Tours. The communication beforehand was very convenient, all our questions were answered and he gave us a reasonable price for the bikes and the transport from Kibuye to Gisenyi. The conditions of the bikes were ok (but soon at least the brakes and the tires should be replaced I suggest) and a spare tube, repair tools and the map of the Congo Nile trail was provided. We had an awesome trip along lake Kivu and would choose Go Gisenyi Tour for our next trip as well.
