Don't be surprised if you see hippos grazing on the bank or crocs slithering along the shoreline. And the lilac breasted rollers have got to be one of the most beautiful birds in the world. But be safe. This isn't Disneyland.

As part of our tour, we took a speed boat 1.5hrs up the river to our houseboat....our accommoadtion for two nights. Saw lots of birdlife, wildlife etc and think this was one of the best ways to experience the river.

I did a sunset cruise on the river saw lots of animals. Hippies, crocodile, elephants and birds. The guide did some explaining but over all the river was relaxing and sunset was great

Took an evening cruise, saw lots of elephants on the shore and browsing in the marshes. Felt sometimes that some of the boats are too intrusive and disturbed the animals. The hippos were also floating amongst the reeds and several crocus basking on the shore....More

Planet baobab very good food great , visit gweta lodge 5 km West .great bar friendly people, Maun,go to old bridge backpackers if only for a meal and drinks great vibe.
